“Really? You like it when I call you Boss? I thought it annoyed you.”

“It does. I love being annoyed by you. Best thing ever.” I roll us another quarter turn so that Isla is now on top and can leave my sorry ass in the dust if she so chooses. Or if I’m very lucky, she’ll ride me while her tits bounce and I can keep that image in my mind for the rest of my natural life.

No big surprise, Isla goes in a completely different direction. She slides down and back just enough to reach a hand between our bodies. I feel her fingers slide around my cock and then my eyes roll back in my head when she cups my balls. My cock is only half in and it desperately wants more, but I don’t want to lose her hand rolling my balls so skillfully either. She presses a soft kiss to my chest before gently squeezing.

“Fuck!” I lose whatever control I had. I’ve no idea what happens next. I’m a senseless ball of reaction. I think Isla sinks back down on my cock, but I can’t be sure. All I know is shefound a way to wring another gallon of cum out of me and when my body stops twitching, I realize I may never move again.

I manage to crack an eyelid, though, when Isla announces, “I’m going to shower. You have ten minutes to get yourself vertical and I don’t mean your cock. That part of you is now on lockdown until tonight, at a minimum.”

Can’t argue with that, but I sure as hell appreciate watching her backside as she gracefully moves to the small bathroom at the end of the room. Remind me to wipe the silly grin off my face before I go into any meetings today…

It’s a good thing I got a great start to the day because those meetings do not go well. There’s a new generation of middle management in Sala Bay and they: Do. Not. Approve. Of anything as near as I can tell. But definitely not of me. Mostly likely not of IPDIESAC, which they don’t even know what it is, but that makes them suspicious. And despite being so-called modern and forward thinking, men don’t relocate for their significant other’s career goals unless they’re lazy or up to no good. Which means they don’t want me in their office.

I’m mad enough to quit on the spot, but old enough to know better. So I’m grumbling to myself on the way out the front door, frantically trying to think of options that will keep me in the immediate satellite orbit of Isla. Without telling her any of the shit that was just spewed in my ear.

Someone must have told her anyway because before I know it, a fuming Isla is stomping through the lobby like a sexy Valkyrie on the warpath. She grabs my elbow and tugs me out of the building like a woman on a mission.

“Assholes,” she finally hisses when we’ve reached the sidewalk.

“Babe?” I inquire mildly because this is definitely shaking me out of my funk and an angry Isla (when she’s not angry at me) is a glorious sight indeed.

“Of all the freaking nerve.” She’s still sputtering, her eyes fixed on some distant point, but then she spies a park bench and tugs me down on that, leaning against my shoulder. “It’s enough to have me asking for my old job back.”

“Done,” I growl, still not sure what’s going on but ready to grasp at any proffered straws.

Isla gives a wet chuckle. “No. There’s Kimber there now and besides, those idiots don’t deserve to be proved right.”

“Going to fill me in?” I inquire mildly, but beginning to feel my own ire rise in anticipation.

“Some smarmy idiot named Dennis stopped by my office to inform me that there’s a higher standard of decorum in Sala Bay. And I might be used toentertainingmy manager, but that won’t be happening here. Then he had the nerve to offer to show me where he stops after work.”

“Can I punch him?” My fists are already clenched, but whoever the idiot is, he’s two blocks away and Isla is holding on to my arm.

“No, but I almost did. I’ll report him to General Vipont when I’ve calmed down. But I don’t want to stay here. Not after this.”

Her sigh is defeated, and I hate that. “Come on, let’s go back to your room and grab Toby. There’s supposed to be a nice beach not too far from here where we can talk or throw sticks and pretend they’re for the dog.”

Isla’s lips quirk. “Thanks, Lance. I knew there was a reason I loved you from day one.” She says it so matter-of-factly while standing up, it takes a second for the words to sink in.

“Wait, what?”

Isla

“So how come you didn’t say anything? If you had the brains and taste to see what a perfect specimen was before you?” Lance asks while attempting to keep his lips straight. He’s not succeeding, but I am distracted by that off center quirk of his mouth over that delectable dent in his chin.

“May I remind you that Muffin Gate happened not too long after?”

“Oh, yeah.” Lance winces as I unlock my room to find Toby waiting impatiently at the door. Lance scoops him up before he can make a break for it down the hall.

“Let’s stop by my room for a sec. I need to pick up a few things before we head out again.”

I nod and take Toby so Lance can push buttons. His room is virtually identical to mine. He slips something in his pocket and then he’s gesturing towards the door. My brow furrows, trying to figure out what was so important to require the stop if I can’t even see it.

“Did anyone tell you why there was a book about Muffin Girl in the first place?” Lance asks quietly as we walk to the water and the small dog park.
