After the attack on the house, Brock was hospitalized for a week due to a nicked artery in his leg. My own legs had been pelted with shattering glass, and I have a scar along the side of my face. Thankfully, it’s not large, but I don’t care anyway. Nick doesn’t see me any differently.

The house is still under construction, and they’re doing something to fortify the wall and gates around the property. Nick is determined that something like that never happens again—especially with the baby coming along. Tabby has speculated that he knocked me up the first time we were intimate. I think she’s probably right. My soon-to-be husband is an overachiever.

Granger and Tyler have spent the last month weeding through Nick’s soldiers, getting rid of the bad seeds so I never have to fear any censure over what I tend to call Nick more often than not.

Daddy.

I like the way his eyes warm, and lust pools in the inky depths when I say it. He softens for me, even when he’s so furious he could rip the heads off his enemies, when he’s in a fit of rage, or someone comes for me, because I calm him down with just my presence.

As soon as I say, Daddy, however, we disappear for hours at a time. It’s the same when he calls me his little girl. I feel special and loved, and there isn’t much I won’t do for his attention then.

Tabby and Mar lead the way out of the dressing room; Kane, Sarge, and I follow behind as I hear music begin to play. I catch a glimpse of Nick standing up at the altar with the reverend; Marco right there next to him. Mickey and Minnie are poised like statues at the front pew.

“Who’s here?” I don’t have anyone other than Tabby and Mar.

“Adonis, Theias, Cato, Devlin, and their top soldiers. We have some connections in New York with the Cavanaughs and Sinclairs, as well. There are also a few associates. Weddings, baptisms, funerals are all good ways to rub elbows and smooth ruffled feathers,” Kane explains just before it’s our turn to start walking.

“I can do this,” I whisper as the doors open and everyone stands. I keep my eyes lowered because I’m unprepared for the intensity I know will be in Nick’s gaze. It’ll consume me, and I’ll forget how to move forward.

“Little girl.” I gasp as my head lifts to see he’s met us halfway down the aisle. Chuckles can be heard all around the church. “You look good enough to eat.”

Biting my lip, I forget about everyone in the room as I take his outstretched hand. “Thank you, Daddy.” I don’t know why I did it; I shouldn’t have said it. Not everyone is familiar with our intimacies; it was pure instinct.

My chin wobbles, fearing he might be mad for exposing our secret to people not in his employ. Kane and Sarge have taken a step back as Nick lifts my veil and slides his hands around my face. He draws my lips up to his, making me forget about everyone in the room.

“Fuck them,” he growls as his tongue glides across my lip. “They don’t like me because my little girl calls me Daddy, I’ll put a bullet in their heads here and now.” He says it loud enough for everyone to hear. A few people shift in their seats, obviously aware of his reputation for eliminating anything or anyone that can be perceived as a threat to me.

“I love you, Daddy.” Rubbing my hands up and down his crisp white shirt, I feel the thundering of his heart.

“Keep talking like that, and I’ll fuck you for everyone to see.” I giggle at his words as my eyes wander around the room.

Stopping on Theias Lorde, I catch the envy in his eyes, though he masks it quickly. The man I’ve been told is far more ruthless than my Nick. He enjoys, even craves, hurting his fellow man. It’s an unhealthy obsession, I’m told.

“Somebody else wants to be a Daddy.” I say the words quietly to Nick, but I know Theias is reading my lips. His head nods slightly. “I found him the perfect girl, too.” His eyes flare as Nick kisses down my jaw.

“You can introduce him later; right now, I need you to marry me, little girl, so I can fuck my precious cunt until we both pass out.” It’s a promise he most certainly kept, too.

Epilogue

NICK

Five Years Later.

Hissing through my teeth, I squeeze my eyes shut and try to think of the fucking meeting I have in twenty minutes. “Fuck, little girl.” My growl is met with her giggling around my shaft. This woman of mine has grown from the shell of a girl to the queen I always knew she would be.

Glancing down to see her puffy red lips wrapped tightly around my cock as she inhales as much as she can, sets me off. “Fuck!” I shout as I release down her throat in thick jets of semen. Like always, she swallows every drop before cleaning me up and kissing the tip as I help her to her feet.

“Is it okay now, Daddy?” Rue’s innocent eyes blink up at me as she leans into my chest and lays her head against my heart like always. It still comforts her.

“No,” I grunt. “You’re having a little girl; how is that ever going to be okay?” We have three boys already, and we just found out this morning that my wife is pregnant with our fourth and final child and that she’s a girl.

When Tabby told us that earlier, I wanted to rage, but the happiness that lit my sweet girl's face kept my mouth firmly shut. Nonetheless, she knew I was pissed, and as soon as we walked in the door, she dismissed everyone within eyesight and dropped to her knees for me.

There is nothing I don’t love about this woman. Her big heart, her innocent soul, her love for me and our sons, but I don’t think I can handle a girl. I’m not equipped for it.

“I guess the little miss was right, then?” Marco comes walking in, a shit-eating grin on his face. “Little princess on the way.” He jumps out of range when I make a swipe at him with my fist.

“Stop taunting him, Marco,” Rue’s laughter can’t be masked. “He’s just discovered that he’ll be making yours and everyone else’s life more difficult trying to shore up the estate into a fortress now.”
