His breathing picks up as his hips shift, pressing harder against my pussy. I’m wetter for him, I want him inside me, but I know he won’t budge until tomorrow, and I’m okay with that. I like the idea of anticipation.

Wrapping my legs around his hips, I drag Dez closer to me until he captures my mouth in a searing kiss that leaves me panting for more. When his hand slips between our bodies, sliding through my slick folds and circling my virgin hole, I stop breathing and wait for his next move.

Notching the head of his cock to my tight opening, I want to scream when he carefully pushes forward, entering my body with just the tip and resting there. “Tighten your cunt,” he demands on a groan.

When I do, his head drops to my chest, and he gently pumps his hips while applying pressure on my clit with his thumb, massaging the nerve bundle until my back arches and I feel like I’m floating. His lips wrap around a nipple and suck the bud into his mouth until I’m crying out for more.

The balls along his length are both enticing and aggravating as he moves just a little, in and out, spiking pleasure deep in my womb. “Dezzzzzz,” I mewl out his name, ready to combust. “Something is happening.”

“Let go,malen’ka ptashka, give me your pleasure.” That’s all I need to hear to scream a release that steals my sanity. He follows after me, and his seed splashes within me before dripping out and sliding down my ass.

Swiping his finger through my soaked pussy, he brings it up to circle my clit. Oversensitive, I try to back away, but he won’t let me. My body explodes again, and he repeats the action until I’m crying from the pain of pleasure.

Finally, he relents and starts drawing on my body with his semen. Even going so far as to scoop it out of my body and place the thick substance in my mouth, rubbing it into my cheeks and tongue before kissing me, tasting his flavor there.

“I love you, malen’ka ptashka.” He picks me up and takes me to bed. “Tomorrow, we’re going to begin our lives together, and I need for you to know there will never be anything between our bodies, nothing to protect you from me.” I shiver delightfully at the threat.

Resting my head on his chest, I sling my leg across his pelvis and lay half on top of him. “I love you too, Dez.”

THIRTEEN

DEZ

Standing outside the nursery, I watch Nadia changing the triplets as she sings a little song she made up while she was pregnant with them. I think I lied to Liliya last night. I told her I never felt anything but rage before her, but that’s not entirely true because I feel for Nadia and the babies. If something were to happen to them, Lana, Trace, Kit, or Dmytro, I’d stop at nothing to end the lives of those who dared to cause them harm.

“What are you thinking, Dez?” Nadia asks, not turning around from where she’s wrestling the kids into clothes they want to get out of.

Entering the room, I sit on the floor next to her, and Ada instantly crawls into my lap, holding up the pants she just took off.

“I can’t let her go,” I finally say as Ada plays with my nose ring.

“I wouldn’t expect you to; you are getting married today, after all.” Her warm smile never fails to make me feel like I’m worthy.

“What if she wants children?” I hadn’t realized that was a concern until this morning. I’m not father material. I’m a killer.

“She’ll be a wonderful mother.” Nadia says that about everyone. With the children all dressed, she faces me and grips my cheeks in both hands like Ada always does, forcing me to look her in the eye. “You will make the most amazing father.” I scoff. “Don’t do that,” she snaps at me. “I know what happened to you, Dez; maybe not all the details because you’ve never talked about it, but I know.”

“I told Liliya.”

Nadia is visibly shocked before a triumphant smile takes over. “I knew she was the one.” I frown at that. “Dez, you don’t trust anyone. Even with the brothers, it’s only to an extent. Me, too, for that matter.” I begin to object until she raises an eyebrow in challenge. “That’s fine. You trust us enough to let us love you and to love us in return. But your wife should be different. She should be the one you tell your worst and best secrets to. You waited your whole life for this girl; she’s it for you, and I have a feeling you’re it for her, too.”

Letting go of me, she sits back and allows me a moment to ponder her words. “She cried for me.” Nadia nods. “She told me she loved me.” I swallow sharply as I recall the effortless way she reciprocated my own words. I hadn’t meant to say them, they just came tumbling out, but I meant them, so I couldn’t take them back.

“I knew that days ago.” Nadia stands, taking one of the babies and handing the other two to me. “Now, let’s go find your father before I help my new daughter-in-law prepare to marry you.”

After settling the triplets in with the other kids, Sofiy’s mother, Adria, comes to the rescue with snacks and games for them all. At first, I didn’t like the older woman; she was wicked with the need to control those around her until her fears were exposed, and she was left a widow. But once she moved onto the estate—before even I had—she quickly grew into the grandmotherly role and is a beloved member of the family.

Out of nowhere, Anton clasps a hand on my shoulder and says, “You know, when Vasyl and Petro told me you were infatuated with a young woman, I hadn’t believed it. When you called in her father’s loan to barter for her, I still wasn’t convinced. Yet here we are. Liliya’s been here a week, and it’s hard to wrap my head around the fact that the boy who paralyzed a man to help me save my wife is about to have one of his own.”

“I don’t deserve her.” I can’t get over it. “I never will.”

“None of us do,” he murmurs absently.

“Ready?” Vasyl comes up behind us.

“For?” I turn to stare at him in the doorway.

Holding up a garment bag, he grins. “To try on your suit.” The doorbell rings before we can move, and I’m immediately on edge. Nobody is supposed to be coming.
