“I’m just here at work with Ella and I wanted to tell you that ...”

“Hi Sam,” I say quickly. “How’s it going? How’s law firm life?”

“I’m okay. Have too much coffee this morning, sis?” he says. “What’s going on, Colton? Please tell me you’re not firing her again. Please tell me that.”

“Of course he’s not firing me. Thanks, Sam.”

“What?” He starts chuckling. “I mean, you’ve made it a couple of weeks already, so that’s something to be proud of.”

“Very funny.” I glare at Colton. I cannot believe he’s called my brother.

“Hey sis, we do need to speak though. Colton did tell me about the Sugar Baby website ad.”

“It was just a joke.” I sigh. “I have no idea why Colton would send that to you because he knows it’s a joke.”

“Yeah, I mean, I wasn’t sure because I know when I saw you the other evening at that bar, you said ...”

“Really, Colton?”

“Hey guys,” Sam interrupts us. “I actually have a mediation today. Can I call you back later?”

“Sounds good,” I say, smirking at Colton.

“I’ll speak to you later, Sam,” he says. “Maybe we can go for drinks tonight.”

“Perfect,” Sam says and hangs up.

I stare at Colton and shake my head. “What was that about?”

“What was what about?” He shrugs innocently. “I mean, Sam is my best friend and you’re his sister and I feel like I should come clean. I mean, that’s what you would want, right?”

I stare at him for a couple of seconds. “So you want to tell him that you met his little sister at his office party and you took her back to your place and you fucked her? And then the next morning, you allowed her to pretend she was your new assistant so that you could fuck her again?” I smile at him sweetly. His eyes narrow and he chuckles.

“No, but I can tell him that his little sister came up to me at his work party and I had no idea who she was because she had on a mask and she started dirty dancing on me and rubbing her booty up on my cock, getting me all hard. And hey, she didn’t even know who I was.”

I glare at him. “You’re such a jackass.”

“But you say you didn’t know who I was. Right?” He asked innocently.

“I didn’t know that it was you.”

“So I could have been any old man that you were rubbing your ass up on.”

I say, “Look, I just was having fun and it ended up being you.”

“And you knew it was me when you came back to my place.” He shrugs. “So let’s not pretend that you’re Little Miss Innocent here. We’re both complicit in the fact that we have fucked each other’s brains out and we’ll likely fuck each other’s brains out again.”

“I don’t think so,” I say. “I actually have someone.”

“You have someone?” he says, raising an eyebrow. “Okay, sure.”

“Yeah, I do. So there.”

“Okay then,” he says, nodding. “Good for you. Anyway, the reason I came to your office this morning wasn’t about your personal life or who you’re fucking. Though I guess you always want to bring it up.”

“No, I don’t.” I stare at the bagel and the coffee. “Did you put this on my table?”

“I did. I wanted you to have breakfast for our meeting this morning.”
