“Okay,” I say, standing up. I wonder if he’s going to ask me anything else about last night. I wonder if he’s going to flirt with me.
He walks over to me, looks me in the eyes, and then sniffs the side of my neck.

“I’m smelling you,” he says. “What do you think I’m doing?”
“Why are you smelling me? That’s so creepy.”
“Because I want to see if you smell like sex,” he says, stepping back as if he hasn’t just insulted me in the worst way possible.

My hand reaches up and I think about slapping him, but then I step back before my fingers touch his skin. I know he wants me to react. I can tell it from the way that he’s looking at me. He’s enjoying this encounter far too much.
