“Indeed,” he says and holds out his hand. “Hi. I’m Colton Hart. I’m Ella’s boss. And you are?”

“Oh, hi. I’m Russell. Ella and I just met at this speed-dating event, and I guess we matched.” Russell grins, but Colton just stares at him.

“Oh, interesting,” Colton says, looking at Russell and then looking at me. “So, did you guys discuss your last dates and stuff?”

“Yeah,” I say, glaring at him, hoping that he’s going to keep his mouth shut.

Russell adds on, “Yeah. I think that Ella is really sweet and really honest, and I think that’s one of the reasons why we matched.”

“Oh, great,” Colton says, wrapping his arms around Russell’s shoulder, and I don’t know if he’s doing that to be friendly or trying to intimidate him. “I’m really glad that you’re comfortable going on a date with someone who was just banging someone else a couple of days ago.” My jaw drops as I stare at Colton. Did he just say what I think he said? I look over at Russell, and I can see that he looks shocked as well.

“Hey, Colton. I think…”

“What?” Colton grins like everything is cool. “Russell, man, I just want to say that you are much better than most other men. I know I wouldn’t be comfortable meeting a girl and going to hang out with the guy that she was fucking two days ago. I mean, it’s weird, right?” Colton looks over at Russell, and Russell’s eyes narrow.

“Sorry, I’m not sure I understand.”

“I mean, I was just inside of Ella two days ago,” Colton says, winking at me. My jaw drops, and I can feel all the color draining from my face as Colton laughs. “Honey, I’m surprised that you wiped the cum stain off your lips. I felt like you were going to keep it as a souvenir.”

“What the fuck?” Russell says as he steps back. He looks at me, and then looks at Colton, and shakes his head. “Hey, dude. Look, I don’t know what’s going on with you. I didn’t know this was your girl.” Russell looks over at me. “I thought you were normal.”

“I am normal,” I say. “Look, please don’t listen to him. I…”

“What is going on here? Is this like a joke?” Russell frowns.

Colton shakes his head. “No, everything I said is true.” He looks at me. “Ella, did we, or did we not fuck a couple of nights ago?”

I bite down on my lower lip and look at Russell. “Look, it wasn’t…”

“Dude, I’m sorry. I’m out of here.” Russell turns around and leaves the bar. I can feel fire about to come out of my nostrils as I stare at Colton.

“What the hell do you think you’re doing?” I demand. “Why would you say that?”

“What? When he said you’d been honest with him, I just assumed you told him everything.”

“Why would I tell him that? It was a speed-dating event. It’s not like I’m going to tell him that I slept with someone by mistake, by the way, a few nights ago. I was trying to forget that moment.”

“Really?” he says, laughing and running his hands through his hair. “I don’t think you were trying to forget anything. I mean, you were…”

“And by the way,” I say, cutting him off, “you didn’t come on my lips, and there was no cum stain for me to wipe off because I never gave you a blow job, jackass. You wish I did.”

He nods slowly and winks again. “You know what? You’re right. I would love you to give me a blowy. What about getting down on your knees right now?”

“Are you out of your fricking mind, Colton Hart?” I push past him and head over to Isabel, who is at the bar arguing with Sam. “Isabel, I think we should leave.”

“Is everything okay?” she asks, glancing at me. Sam is staring at me and then at Isabel, and I have no idea what is going on. Colton comes up behind me and puts his hand on my shoulder. I push it off and stare at him through narrowed eyes.

“You are a jackass.”

“Excuse me, what did you say?” He looks over at Sam. “Sam, what did your sister just say to me?”

Sam looks at me and then looks at Colton and shakes his head. “I’m not sure. What did you just say, Ella?”

“Nothing,” I say through gritted teeth. I know I can’t let my brother know how pissed off I am because then he might want to know why. And the last thing I want him to know is that I hooked up with his best friend a couple of nights ago. I grab Colton by the arm and pull him down the bar so we’re out of Sam’s earshot. “Listen to me and listen to me again. We are never going to fuck again,” I say. “I’m never going to give you a blow job and…” I feel his hand on my hip, wrapping around my waist, and my body trembles. “What are you doing?”

“What do you think I’m doing?” he asks, winking. He leans forward, his lips near my ear and whispers, “I know you want me, Ella. I know your panties are wet right now. I know you wish we were somewhere else other than here so that you could bounce up and down on my hard cock. I know how badly you want me inside of you right now.” I listen to his words, and while I can’t deny them, I’m pissed off, even though my body wants him, my brain thinks he is the biggest asshole. I stare at him for a couple of seconds, and I’m about to go off on him. I’m about to tell him to keep his job, to keep his money and to get a life, but then a little devil inside of me decides that I should play his game.

I stare at him for a couple of seconds, knowing that he is expecting me to go off. He thinks he’s got the better of me, but I’m not going to let that happen. I place my hand on his chest and look up at him with wide, innocent eyes. “Well, you might just be a little bit right. You want to get out of here, Colton?” I ask, running my fingers down toward the top of his pants. “Or do you think you need to stay here and hang out with Sam?”
