Tobias went to open a drawer before getting back to bed. They would not be using a condom, Anthony assumed, but he was taking Prep, and Tobias didn’t seem like the kind of person who would risk his own health.

He positioned himself between Anthony’s bent legs, then pushed himself inside with no preparation. Pain appeared and swiftly passed like a moving train. He looked up to see Tobias rocking his body back and forth. It felt strange seeing someone other than Chris in this position, and for a moment, Anthony felt unfaithful. He reminded himself that Chris—married Chris—was the reason he was in this club.

Tobias leaned down and closed his teeth on Anthony’s nipple, the pain sharp and wonderful.

“Harder,” he panted, and Tobias dug his teeth deeper, his pounding never losing momentum. He reached everywhere with his hands, groping and squeezing every exposed piece of skin. When he pushed himself up to look at Anthony, his lips were wet and glossy, his forehead damp. Anthony hesitantly raised his hands and touched Tobias’s face, traveling across sharp cheeks and soft lips.

“I’m not used to this.” Tobias’s voice was warm, yet cautious. “I’m usually doing the touching; it’s safer that way.”

“I’m safe.”

“Are you?”

“Boringly safe. Can you kiss me now?”

Tobias obliged. Where one mouth started and the other one ended, Anthony couldn’t tell—nor did he care. Kisses were the one thing Chris refused to grant him, and Tobias seemed to have no such cruel policy.

After what might have been an hour or mere minutes, Tobias let out a loud cry and ejaculated deep inside Anthony without breaking their kiss. When his body stopped his spasms, Tobias slumped down, panting into Anthony’s neck.

The room slowly became steadier, the colors almost as dull as before. Anthony dared to wrap his arms around the body on top of him, hoping Tobias wouldn’t get up and leave like nothing happened.

“Mine,” Tobias whispered as his body relaxed between Anthony’s arms. “Mine.”

The rest of the night passed in a wonderful blur.

They lay in bed with their limbs tangled, not bothering with a blanket. Tobias did most of the talking, sharing stories about his childhood in Athens before moving to the US with his parents when he was twelve. Anthony appreciated how Tobias’s words never came in the way of his touch. He mapped Anthony’s skin with his fingers, no part left unexplored.

Eventually, Tobias told him to go back to the dressing room where his clothes waited. They hadn’t discussed another meeting. On his way downstairs, Anthony was surprised to find the club empty except for the cleaning crew. The place felt less intimidating without the bright lights, dramatic music, and dozens of people.

Once dressed, a tall man with a buzz cut wearing dark clothes walked him to the ground floor. “He must like you,” the man said in a Russian accent as they made their way into the cold night. Despite his good looks, there was something unsettling about the way he carried himself, like he might jump someone in the blink of an eye.

“Why do you think he likes me?” Anthony asked.

“Doesn’t matter. Just make him happy.” He smiled coldly. “If he’s not happy, I get angry.” He offered his hand. “Dima.”

Anthony hesitantly shook it. “Anthony. You work for Tobias?”

“I keep him safe.” Without elaborating, he called for a taxi.

During the drive, Anthony checked his phone and saw missed calls from Chris and messages asking if he was okay. Was he okay? Yeah, he felt so. The drug seemed to have left his system by now with no lingering side effects. He texted back, although Chris must have been asleep by now.

When he finally crashed onto his bed, he slept until noon, dreaming of New York floating upside down. When he woke, last night’s events felt like a hallucination. He touched himself underneath the blanket, disappointed when his hands couldn’t spark the same sensations as they had hours ago. In his sunny and safe bedroom, he felt like himself again. With Tobias, he had been more.

That wasn’t real. This is real.

He went to have a hot shower, not used to seeing his cock free after weeks of captivity. When he got out, his phone rang. He didn’t recognize the number and was taken aback to hear Mickey’s voice asking, “How are you feeling?”

“I’m okay. Just woke up.”

“My, you must have had a late night. You and Tobias disappeared on us. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him do something like that.”

Anthony didn’t know how to respond, but he liked hearing that. “Hmm, do you know when I’m supposed to go back there?”

Mickey sighed. “I'm afraid that last night was a one-time thing. From now on, I will only be needing Chris to join me. I’m sure you understand.”

Anthony’s heart sank. That’s it?It took him a moment to track his voice. “That’s... that’s cool, I guess. If that’s what you want.”
