“I’m going to be at Asher’s for the rest of the week,” She breaks the news to me, dampening the mood. “I hope you’ll be okay here by yourself,” she adds.

Of course I’ll be okay, but she’s been gone a lot lately.

“That’s fine, Dakota. But are you and Asher going to pick a date soon, or what?” I pester her like a big sister, even though she’s older than me by a few months.

“We’re not even engaged yet, Sterls.” She gets up from her chair to grab her bag. “But I am getting impatient,” she admits.

“Well, have you expressed your feelings to him?” I ask. I’m not the most well-versed when it comes to romance or relationships, having had none myself.

“I’ve dropped a few hints here and there, but you know how guys are. They act helpless and useless when it comes to taking the next step.”

I have no idea what else to say. Even though I don’t know much about romantic encounters and long-term relationships, I just have this feeling that this isn’t right for Dakota. I look at her and give her a small, reassuring smile anyways because that’s what friends do, but really…I never liked the guy.

“You got another bill today.” She motions her head toward the kitchen counter-top where my eyes meet an envelope. I make a point to ignore it for a bit.

I won’t get my first paycheck from the dealership for another two weeks and I’ve used up nearly all the rest of my money on groceries and other bills. I feel embarrassed that I’m struggling financially. I hate that I feel like I’m not good enough at times.

“I'll see you at my party this Friday, right?” Dakota asks excitedly, before coming over and giving me a hug. I nod my head and she gives me a big smile and before I know it, she’s saying goodbye and heading out the door.

I pour myself a glass of wine and raise it. “Cheers to another lonely week,” I say to myself, with a little laugh. I throw my hair into a messy bun and change into my favorite AC/DC graphic tee and sweatpants. As I go through my nightly routine, thoughts of the day run through my mind. Callan in the shop, him calling mecute.Still wondering if I heard him correctly or if I made that up in my head. But then wondering why I even care. I’m spiraling. I throw back another swig of wine and turn on my favorite nineties rom-com. I could really use the distraction right now.

Callan

WelandedinLosAngeles late last night, and I can’t seem to get out of bed this morning. My alarm clock haunts me as it rings across the room. I struggle to get the sheets off, and stumble over to the desk to grab my phone, only to see it’s not my alarm, it’s Jax calling.

“Jax,” I answer sleepily and glance toward the clock. It’s nine a.m. I’ve never slept in this late on a Thursday. Or any day for that matter.

“Still sleeping, boss?” He sounds chipper as he speaks.

“Normal people go to bed after a late flight, Jax, not to the strip club.”

“When in Vegas,” he replies sarcastically, as the sound of elevator doors ding in the background and I just chuckle.

“Where are you?”

“In the hotel lobby getting breakfast. You may want to hurry. Meeting’s in an hour.”

“Yeah, I’ll be down soon.” I end the call.

Even though his behavior may come off as erratic at times, I trust Jax to help run my business. I haven’t met many guys who can manage staying up late to enjoy the night life, while still being fully prepared to suit up first thing in the morning and for only being a few years younger than me, he keeps up well. Though I’m starting to wonder if he ever even went to bed last night. Knowing Jax, I’m sure I’ll be hearing all about it soon enough.

I hop in the shower hoping it’ll give me the boost of energy I’ll need to get through the day. I’m already dreading the long, monotonous meetings that await me. Meetings I know have to be done.

As the water falls over me and the steam fills the room, I run shampoo through my hair and close my eyes. Warm suds run down my back, and I can’t help but imagine how much more enjoyable this shower would be if I had things my way. A beautiful woman would walk into the steamy bathroom wearing nothing but a silk robe. She’d have wavy blonde hair, and her wide blue eyes would take me in as she looks me up and down. Her pink lips raise at the edges in a sexy smile. As I conjure up the image in my head, I suddenly stop and snap my eyes open.Fuck. I was definitely just fantasizing about Sterling.

I can’t help that my dick grows hard at the thought of her in the room with me right now, and it’s aching harder than ever before. I’ve never been a man who needed to get himself off, but I cannot, for the life of me, get this girl out of my head.

Without realizing I’m doing so, I grab the base of my cock and stroke forward as I think about her alluringly bright indigo eyes. And her smile, her beautiful, full lips moving in slow motion as she says something snarky to me. The way she can wear anything, and it looks absolutely stunning on her body. The thick curves of her thighs. The thought of her voice is what gets to me the most. The way she says “Mr. David”is such a turn on. Before I have time to stop and shake my head back to reality, I realize I am pumping my erection faster now; it doesn’t take long before I feel my release rushing through me, my hot cum filling my hand.

I don’t allow myself to soak in the euphoria I just experienced, registering how obsessed I am becoming, and I barely even know the girl.We need to change that.

After I get myself cleaned up and prepared for my first meeting, I head down to the lobby to meet up with Jax.

“There you are sunshine. If I didn’t know any better, I’d think you were the one out all night, not me,” he quips.

“I had to take care of something,” I respond, trying to hide the smirk on my face when I think about the personal business I had to attend to this morning.
