“But this isholy shitworthy.”

I rolled my eyes. “I’m decent. You can turn around.”

“I’d rather not look at you. Maybe forever.”

“Who is here, Heath? Is it CPS?”

“No. The dude fromThe Last Man Downis here, that movie about the fighter pilot. The freaking pilot is in our living room.”

My eyes bulged. “Robert? Robert’s here?”

“I didn’t ask his name. But he’s looking for you.”

Shit.I walked over to my brother and nudged his back. “Go put your shoes on. You need to leave for school.”

“But the actor is in our living room—”

“Get your shoes on and grab your backpack, or you’re going to be late.”

He groaned again but went across the hall to his bedroom while I walked out to the living room.

The sight of Robert standing there took my breath away. He had a giant bouquet of white roses in his arms—there had to be five dozen. When he saw me, he smiled, and I swear, his teeth gleamed like in a cartoon.

“There she is…” he said.

“Robert, what are you doing here?”

“Coming to see my girl.” His eyes dropped to my stomach. “Or girls.”

“Shhh…” I looked behind me and lowered my voice. “My brother and sister are here. I haven’t told them yet.”

Robert hooked an arm around my waist and hauled me against him. “You look sexy as shit. Maybe you’re glowing.”

From behind me, a door slammed shut. I tried to disentangle myself from Robert’s hold before my siblings walked in, but Robert didn’t let go. He gripped my waist tighter and held on. Of course, Heath’s eyes zoned right in on that hand. Hannah took one look at the man standing next to me and her mouth dropped open.

“Oh my God. You’re…that guy.”

Robert grinned. “Which guy?”

“The one from the movies.”

“You meanTop Gun?”

She shook her head. “No, the one that didn’t suck.”

Robert chuckled and pointed to Hannah. “Yep. That’s your sister alright.”

“What are you doing here?” Heath asked. “Are you Devyn’s client or something? She never mentioned she knew anyonethisfamous.”

“I am her client. But Dev’s also my girlfriend.”

Heath and Hannah’s eyes grew wide as saucers. I shook my head and peeled Robert’s fingers from my waist. “You guys are going to be late for school. You better get going.”

“But…”

I prodded Heath forward. “CPS is already up my butt. You guys need to be on time. Now skedaddle.”

Neither of them looked very happy, but they moseyed to the door.
