Even though she's barely done fuck all today except for cause shit for Meghan's patients. She nods, and I thank her profusely, handing her the medication all while she looks at me like I'm an idiot and she is playing me.

A few hours later, I'm finally heading home.
Cassidy spent the rest of the shift with a permanent scowl, so I'm guessing she didn't get her re-do, but I did manage to dodge the guy because, of course, he's the one who showed up.
My heart flutters at the thought of him refusing her, and I ignore my reaction to that. I mean, I don't even know his name!
I yawned while walking towards my door after leaving the stairwell when I felt something hard hit me on the back of my head from behind. I grunt and fall to the floor, only for someone to grab hold of my hair tightly before putting their hand over my mouth.
My mother comes into view, eyes full of anger.
Fuck.
She gets in my face and says, "Ever hear the expression 'snitches get stitches'? Thanks to you, Harris is sitting in jail because his name is red-flagged. I just lost my connection to my drugs, you little bitch, and I'm now fucking wanted."
She punches me hard in my face before whoever is holding my hair shoves my head forward, and I end up headbutting the floor. I hear a crunch as immense pain shoots through my face before someone smacks a hard object onto my back and then kicks me hard in the side, causing me to roll slightly with a scream before they kick me again. My mom gets down in my face again as my vision blurs, blackness wanting to take over. "Don't disappear, you little disappointment. I have several men who want you for a night."
She spits in my face before leaving with whoever was with her cackling, and I cough. Pain shoots through me, making me groan, and I try to crawl towards my door before pulling myself up.
Dizziness fills me, and I struggle to stay on my feet, my eyes wanting to close.
I quickly unlock my door and shuffle inside before bolting it shut.
I manage to get to my brown fabric sofa before I collapse, and everything goes black.
Chapter 7
Dagger – 2 weeks later
Me – your missed sweetheart; your man needs you; please message him back. The club wants their queen back.
I'm sitting at the bar in the clubhouse, tapping my finger on the solid wood, looking at the text I've just sent to Annalise, feeling fucking frustrated.
Two weeks.
That's how long it's been since Axel heard from her, and he's struggling, and the more he struggles, the angrier Cammy becomes. I sigh. Two weeks is also the last time I saw Melanie. I've gone to the hospital a few times, and apparently, she's been on sick leave. I've managed to get her address from Flame, much to Doc's dismay, but she hasn't fucking left her apartment or answered her door when I've knocked.
I take the shot of whiskey that the prospect just dropped down for me in one gulp before the clubhouse main doors open, and Stormy walks in. As soon as he sees me, he makes a beeline towards me, and I grunt, not in the fucking mood for this.
I get up and walk out of the common room.
"TRAVIS."
I ignore him and go to my office, ensuring I lock the fucking door. I hear a bang from the common room, but I just shrug before sitting at my desk and starting the inventory for Untamed Girls; needing a fucking break from this place.
A few hours pass by when someone tries to open my door and says, "What the fuck? Dagger, open up."
I furrow my brows at Axel's voice, which is laced with fury, and I quickly get up and open it.
He looks pissed as he barges past me.
"brother? Is Annalise okay?"
He just chuckles darkly and says, "I haven't even had a chance to see her yet. Fuck, brother." He breathes deeply, linking his fingers behind his head, before he rasps, "Two weeks ago, Flame decided to go off with Ginger on his friend's date with Star." I scowled, leaning back against my desk. What a fucking idiot! Seriously, how many times is he going to hurt that girl?
I shake my head as he continues before fury fills me: "She went to the ladies because she started to cry, but she didn't make it there; instead, she was dragged outside to the alleyway where Hairy, the Devil's VP, who also happened to be Killers cousin, anally raped her in front of the camera so Flame could see."
