I smile, this will be a new experience for me, one that frightens me, but at the same time excites me. When I first touched Haldor, it was unknown to me that my life would change completely, but it has changed in a way that has answered my prayers, a life that I was constantly craving, a life that is different from what I know but that I am excited to experience.
HALDOR 10
“What the fuck does that wanker want?” Tal grumbles as we walk back into the club. “I hope he was just blowing smoke out of his ass, because if there is a video out there, we are fucked.”
“We will need to ask Celmund to see if he can find anything, but you know that as soon as we alert Celmund then Draco will know.” Asgar warns as he pulls out a chair to sit.
“Fuck, fuck, fuck” I shout, I have a feeling that I know where this is coming from, but if the video is from what I did when I found Druza then we are screwed.
“Relax brother, lets first see what he was babbling about before we start stressing.” Dane tries to appease as he continues to scroll on his phone. “I can’t find anything, if there was something like that, I am sure it would make a bit of an uproar.” I hope so, because if it’s true I am a dead Elemental as Draco and Tor will take turns in frying my stupid ass.
When I walked up to the gate, I was ready to send the reporter packing without much of a conversation as we don’t talk to reporters, but as soon as I tried to dismiss him he mentioned a video that had been posted, and that he wanted to do a piece and confirm if it’s true. When I told him we had no idea what he was talking about he mentioned the movement of the elements, something which I wasn’t expecting. He also professed to have received another video from a source that will clearly indicate that there in fact are others out there as he puts it.
Fuck, if there in fact is a video like that, we will have to find a way of dispersing with it and of shutting this fucking reporter up. I raise my hands to rub them through my hair in frustration. The problem isn’t only the reporter but also the gypsies that saw me doing it.
“Son of a bitch,” Dane suddenly mutters which has me lowering my hands to look at him. He is staring at his phone, “he wasn’t lying, there is a fucking video.” I am by his side before he finishes his statement to look over his shoulder at his phone. He lifts his head to glance up at me, “you lucky we can’t see your face, but the kutte is clear here where we see Garth’s back.”
“We need to get that down; do you think Dag will be able to get it down?” I ask looking at the others that are also now standing next to me looking down over Dane’s shoulder at his phone.
“We can ask, but I doubt it.” Asgar states, “the only one that might be able to is Celmund.”
“I’ll go call him” Tal says as he starts making his way out of the bar.
“Easier if we just go to the comms room before we contact Celmund, Dag might be able to bring the site down.” Dane calls to Tal as he stands to start making his way towards where Dag is working.
The four of us make our way towards the comms room to find Dag sitting behind his laptop. When we enter, he looks up a frown appearing on his face when he sees all of us. “What now?” he asks, sensing that there is a problem.
“There’s a video circulating of me bending the earth,” I explain as I pull out a chair and sit, “do you think you will be able to bring it down?”
Dane holds his phone towards Dag, “This is the video.”
Dag watches the video a few times before he looks up at us, “I can try, but you guys know that as soon as something goes out into the web it is out there, even if I can get it down it might have been downloaded or copied onto some other platform.”
“This will be so unbelievable to people that they will think it’s a video that was made up with special affects; I wouldn’t worry too much about it.” Tal states with a shrug, “look how long it took Dane to find it, if it was newsworthy, it would be all over the place.” I agree with what he is saying but I would rather have it deleted where there is no chance of anyone seeing it and having the possibility of having the Elemental’s under scrutiny.
“We need to tell Tor,” Asger warns as he leans against the table.
“Now isn’t the best time to bring this to Tor, he will flay Haldor’s hide before listening to anything.” Dag declares, “speaking of which we need to start making our way to them.” I grunt in annoyance as I want to try and get this resolved but protecting Tor’s woman is our priority. Standing I turn to leave but am stopped by Dag as he places a hand on my shoulder.
“I want to show you something,” he says as the others leave.
“Did you find something?” Now that this video has come to life, I want to find Druza’s family and try and stop any problems that they might want to bring our way.
“I’m not sure yet what exactly everything means, but there is definitely something wrong with them.” He declares as he turns his laptop towards me. “This guy here is one of the names your woman gave us,” I look at the face on the laptop, and recognize the face of one of the men that was in the group when I met Druza. “He has a rap sheet longer than my fucking arm.” Dag says as he leans forward to switch on one of the screens that sits above the desk. He points towards the report that appears to show me all the crimes the guy has been charged with in the past.
“Human trafficking!” I grunt in anger as I see one of his crimes, he has been charged with everything from Drug dealing to human trafficking. To think that Druza was around someone like that has my anger start to boil.
“That’s not the only one,” he reveals as he shows me five different images with similar rap sheets. He points to the last one, “this guy is on the pedophile list.”
“Son of a bitch,” I mutter as I take a seat and cross my arms across my chest, “I should of killed them when I had the chance.”
“That’s not all,” Dag reveals, “I think there is much more that we are going to find out the more I dig,”
“That’s why Druza was so worried about them coming after us,” I state, “she knows that they are trouble.”
“They are obviously the ones that uploaded the video, looking at these guys I would say they have an ulterior plan.” Dag declares.
“They weren’t the ones to upload the video, the reporter uploaded the video. He says that he has another one that clearly evidences the earth bending.”
