Faith closed her eyes and shook her head. “Crazy witches,” she muttered.
CHAPTER SIX

“And you must be Parker!” Hope said, loud enough to make the man hit his head on the underside of the washbasin and over the top of the music playing from his phone.
Parker rubbed the sore spot on his head as he backed out from beneath the sink and gave them a look that said he wasn’t impressed. He eyed Hope and dismissed her before turning his attention to True. He knew the alpha’s mate when he saw her. “Thanks for that,” he grumbled. “Heath isn’t here; he’s off chasing the vampire.”
“Literally?” Hope asked with a giggle.
“Yep,” Parker said, noting how Hope looked momentarily confused.
“Oh,” Hope said, questioning True with a look.
“Don’t look at me,” True said, shrugging. “Who knows what goes on in the minds of men.”
“And we can say the same for women,” Parker said. “Although, I presume there is less bloodshed.”
“Presume away,” Hope said, getting her first smile from the shifter.
“We hear you play the guitar,” True said.
“I do,” Parker replied.
“Well?” Hope asked.
Parker frowned. “I can hold a tune.”
“Do you sing?” True asked.
“Like a cat going through a mangle,” Parker said.
“I don’t like that idea,” Serendipity called from another room.
Parker scowled. “That talking cat is strange, yet kind of funny.”
“You haven’t met Mr Paws yet?” Hope asked. “We have two talking cats.”
Parker raised his eyebrows. “One wasn’t challenging and sarcastic enough?”
“Now there’s a cat that needs to get mangled,” Serendipity called.
“You first,” Mr Paws called back.
Parker pointed to the door. “My point exactly.”
“Maybe you’d like to play at the bar one night?” True said.
“Why?” Parker asked.
“Free food,” Hope said, trying to sweeten the deal.
“That could work,” Parker said. “I can eat a lot.”
“Can’t you all,” Hope said. “So, you have no problem with witches on pack land?”
“Nope, you brighten the place up,” Parker said, then pointed to his tools. “Can I get back to…?”
