“Hey!” Faith said. “It’s important.”

“No, it isn’t,” Amy said, shaking her head. “What will be will be.”

“Okay, Doris Day,” Faith said, rolling her eyes. “You can go now.”

“Gee, thanks,” Amy said, frowning. “You know, you’re a little weird right now, right?”

“Meh,” Faith said, shrugging, but excitement flared within her when Hope headed her way.

“Okay, breaking news story,” Hope said, putting the tray on the bar. “You’ve got my attention for two minutes – hit it.”

“Hark the heart’s song,” Faith said with glee, and her eyes were alight with mischief once more.

“Ugh!” Hope said. “That’s a True thing.”

“You too? What’s with everyone?” Faith said, shrugging with disbelief.

“We’re working, we’re busy, we’re not ghost hunting,” Hope said, shrugging back.

“Clue solving,” Faith said.

“You solve a clue?” True asked, placing her elbows on the countertop and leaning in. “Which one?”

“Thank you,” Faith said, motioning to her sister as if she was fancy goods in an advert. “Someone is interested.”

“I’m interested,” Hope said. “When the orders slow down.”

“Which clue?” True asked again.

“Hark the heart’s song,” Faith said.

“This clue,” True said, looking at Hope. “The eclipse is tomorrow, so maybe we should prepare for whatever is next.”

“Dani!” Faith said.

Hope and True stared at each other, lost. “Huh?” True asked.

Faith offered them a victory grin. She loved it when she knew something nobody else did. “Hark the heart’s song – Dani met a shifter this morning, playing theguitar.”

Hope cocked an eyebrow, and True winced. “It’s a little thin,” True said.

“I mean, I heard a song on the radio,” Hope said.

“And we’re piping in music now,” True said. “You could turn around and meet someone right this minute.” She snapped her fingers.

Faith drew her head back and looked horrified. “That’s not right,” she said. “You shouldn’t tempt fate like that.”

“You mean like you’re tempting fate with Dani?” Hope asked.

“Not the same,” Faith protested. “She’s already met him, and I am not on the market for a mate.”

“Mate?” True asked. “Who is this guy?”

“Parker,” Faith said, shrugging. “He’s outside now working on the guesthouse.”

True looked at Hope, and Hope lifted her shoulders and tossed up her hands. Then both witches made a bolt for the backdoor. “It doesn’t hurt to look,” Hope called back over her shoulder to a bemused Faith.

“You look after the bar for ten minutes,” True called as the witches got to the door and pushed and shoved each other to get through simultaneously.
