They were the most beautiful color I thought I'd ever seen, crystal blue with green flecks running through them.
“No, I'm sorry it's my fault. I wasn't looking where I was going.” I laughed.
Then it was like a switch flipped and he got a serious expression on his face; an almost lethal one. “Well New York can be an extremely dangerous place for a little thing such as yourself, so you'd do well to keep those eyes of yours open and alert to your surroundings. You never know who's out to do you harm.” He finished his statement, stroking his finger under my chin before sliding his hands down my arms, causing a chill of fear to flare up inside of me. I stared at him, feeling as if familiar eyes were looking down at me.
Do I know him?
“T-thanks, I'll do that.”
“Better to be safe than sorry I always say.” Were his last words with a wink before he turned and disappeared into the back of the store somewhere.
