While in a meetingwith several high officials, the sound of my phone going off drew my attention away from the subject at hand. Looking down to see who it was, the name that lit up my screen told me I needed to take it. Hitting the answer button, I got up and excused myself. Leaving the room, I entered into an empty office and closed the door behind me. "This had better be good if you're interrupting me during this meeting." I demanded, putting the phone to my ear.
"Oh, I think you will be extremely happy when I tell you that I know where they took Senator Watson's daughter."
"You found her?" I asked, pacing back and forth in the office.
"She's in Montana. After I went to the airport and showed their pictures around, I found myself a very eager flight personnel woman to help me locate the flight they took and to where."
"Fucking on my time, Jackson?"
"Well, it did get me the information I needed, sir. So, I'd say it was a win, win for us both."
"Fine, fine, where in Montana?"
"Mulberry. I'm headed there on a flight myself right now. I have our team ready and waiting to extract her right out from under their noses as soon as I find out their exact location."
"Good, keep me posted. I have to get back."
"Will do, sir."
As I disconnected the call with Jackson and left the office, I put my mask firmly back in place before I entered into the meeting with the men who had no idea just how much their fates rested in my hands.
