I pushed his knees higher up, bending Leo in half as I sank deeper into him, deep satisfaction at the long, low moans drawn out of Leo with each thrust. “Leo, you’re incredible,” I murmured, our bodies moving together in rhythm. We fucked with increasing intensity, my hips driving us closer into one another.

Our pace quickened as we became more insatiable, the sounds of slapping flesh and harsh breathing filled the room. “So fucking tight, baby,” I grunted as my control slipped, fucking him fast and hard into the mattress, his hands on my ass pulling me deeper and deeper into his velvet heat—

“Christ—Ahh…” At the last moment, I pulled out, my fist a blur as I roughly stroked myself, shouting as I came, thick white stripes painting my hands and Leo’s stomach before collapsing on top of him.

We stayed like that for a long moment, foreheads pressed together and breaths mingling, as we came down from our highs. Eventually I rolled onto my back next to Leo and pulled him close.

In the dim light of our suite, Leo’s chest rose and fell against my own as we lay entwined, spent and content, sharing soft kisses. The sound of our breaths intermingled with the distant chirping of crickets outside. “Leo,” I murmured, breaking the silence as I reached for my underwear, using it to clean my hand and Leo’s stomach. “I’m really sorry I missed your brother’s football game.”

Leo gave a small chuckle, his fingers absently tracing circles on my arm. “You already apologized, babe. You were busy with work, I get it. Don’t feel guilty.” Despite the reassurance, Leo couldn’t help but add, “But you do have a pattern in relationships, you know. Intensely focused at first, then disappearing for days or even weeks when work gets demanding.”

I shifted slightly, my eyebrows furrowing in thought. I hadn’t ever thought of it that way. “Is that how it feels?” I asked quietly, giving Leo’s hand a gentle squeeze. “Like I disappear?”

“Sometimes,” Leo admitted, staring up at the ceiling. “It’s hard being the sole focus of your passion and attention—which is incredible, by the way—only to be ignored later for long stretches of time.”

Damn. My eyes searched Leo’s face. “I didn’t realize... I guess I’ve always put my career first because I want to be the best. When I get absorbed in work, it’s hard to pull myself away.” I’d assume my partners understood that going in. “I’m going to do better, I promise.”

Leo shook his head. “You don’t need to be better, just be you. I trust in your feelings for me. I know you’re still there, even when I can’t see you. Like those shooting stars out there, hidden by the city lights.”

He curled into my side, head resting over my heart. I ran my fingers through his hair, thinking. Thinking this was right where I always wanted to be. “I love you,” I whispered.

The words were out before I could stop them.

Leo went still against me. I tensed, worry gnawing at my insides. Too soon, Ben. Too soon for those words.

Had I ruined everything?

Then Leo tilted his head up, eyes shining with emotion. He smiled, and it was like the sun peeking through the clouds on a rainy day. “I love you too.”

My heart soared. Smiling, I rolled us over until I hovered above Leo, joy radiating through my body. “Say it again.”

Leo’s grin widened. “I love you.” His hands came up to cradle my face. “I love you, Ben. So damn much.”

I dipped my head, capturing Leo’s lips in a searing kiss. When we finally broke apart, I gazed into his eyes, warmth and contentment washing back and forth between our entwined bodies.

My cock stiffened as it rubbed against Leo’s thigh, and as we kissed, Leo spread his legs wider for me as I nestled between them again. Then Leo’s body welcomed me again inside that tight, snug heat. My mouth pressed against Leo’s broad shoulder, muffling each groan as we rocked back and forth, clinging to each other in the dark.

Leo

“Leo.”

Sitting at my desk, my thoughts were a million miles away, a smile on my lips as I stared blankly at the computer screen. My mind wandered back to the intimate shower I had shared with Ben that morning, pulling me into the warmth of the memory.

Ben’s firm hands had worked up a rich lather on my back, massaging away any lingering ache from the night before. I could still feel the gentle pressure of his fingertips as they traced patterns across my skin, leaving trails of foam in their wake. Each touch soothed and excited me simultaneously.

As the steam swirled around us, we traded slow kisses—Ben would cradle my face in those powerful hands of his, gazing into my eyes with a heated look before claiming my mouth again. The kiss deepened, and I melted against Ben’s sturdy frame.

In those blissful moments, time seemed to stand still, and everything else ceased to exist. There was only the heat of the shower, our wet skin sliding against each other, and the sound of my heart pounding in my—

“Leo? Hey, Leo!” Samantha’s voice cut through my daydreaming, causing me to startle.

I blinked rapidly, finally noticing Samantha standing beside my desk with an amused grin on her face. “Huh? What?” I asked.

She teased me gently. “Back from dreamland, I see. I’ve been trying to get your attention for the past minute. Where were you just now?”

My face got hot. “Oh, uh, nowhere.” I shrugged. “Just thinking about some things.”
