When there’s no discernable sound, I turn back to look at her and shake my head as I pull my hand away and place a finger over my lips. The laughter that lights up her eyes is the only warning I have before she thrusts her hips up. I had frozen at the sound of someone entering, my cock halfway out of her and I can’t help the groan I let out when I’m fully sheathed inside of her tight walls again.

“Is someone up there?” Rachel’s voice sounds panicked.

“It’s Eddie,” I call back, looking down at Trisha so she can see I’m talking to someone. She slaps her hands over her mouth to stifle her laughter. Reaching an arm under her waist I get one foot on the ground and stand, looking around until I see a haybale that is the right height for me to sit on.

“They sent me to look for Trisha, do you know where she is?” Rachel calls, sounding like she’s approaching the ladder.

I squeeze my eyes shut and tell myself it would be incredibly inappropriate to tell the teenager that Trisha’s riding my cock.

“No.” My voice comes out completely strangled. “Why don’t you go back to the house? I’ll look for her when I’m done.”

“Fine,” she bites out the words, and I hear her muttering as the sound of her footsteps tell me she’s moving toward the barn door. I’m just starting to feel the winter chill, which tells me she had left it open when she first entered. “Um, what are you doing up there anyway?”

“Rearranging the hay bales,” I call out, wishing to hell that she’ll leave before I blow. This is not the memory I want to hold onto when I think about making a baby with Trisha.

“Ugh. They’ll have me doing that next, I’m sure,” Rachel yells back, but then I thankfully hear the door being yanked shut.

I focus on Trisha’s face again and nearly laugh at the comical expression she’s has, fuck, I’m not going to hear the end of this anytime soon. Thrusting up with enough force that she would have fallen if I wasn’t holding her shoulders, helps draw her focus back to the task at hand.

The warmth of her tight pussy is a relief every time I sheath myself inside of her and when my release comes, all I can think of is the possibility of a baby that will bind us tighter together.

“Would you mind telling me what the hell happened?” she asks, once she catches her breath and wiggles off of my lap.

“They want you at the house,” I sign and move to the ladder once I’ve gotten my pants zipped back up.

“Tell them I’ll be there in a few minutes,” she says after following me down and quickly pecking my cheek, before turning toward the hatchery that Shelby had built.

As I enter the main house, I quickly see why Rachel was looking for Trisha. Aiden’s sitting at the table, looking thoroughly annoyed, with a bloody rag around his left hand.

One look at my face and he starts to laugh. “Did you get those hay bales done right?”

“Enough to hold for a couple of days,” I say, keeping a straight face as I nod my head.

“Hay bales take a lot of effort,” Mike pipes in, nodding sagely. “They’re worth it in the long run, though.”

“Let me guess, you stuck your hand where it didn’t belong?” I ask Aiden about the blood that’s slowly dripping down his arm as I eagerly try to dodge their ribbing.

“It’s not as bad as it looks,” he replies, lowering his arm as he starts to unwrap the towel.

“Keep it above your heart until it stops bleeding!” Shelby calls from the couch and I look over to see her gently rocking Sara.

He lets out a long sigh, but dutifully raises it back up, supporting his left bicep with his right hand.

“Aiden went to check on that section of fence where Russ said your new friends messed with the barb wire. He saw something in the snow and reached for it,” Mike tells me, and my eyes widen, as I can almost instantly picture what happened.

“With your bare hand?” I ask, not able to keep the censor out of my tone.

“My idiocy has been pointed out, thank you,” Aiden grumbles back to me before tilting his head to the coffee table beyond us. “But I got a fun new toy from the Cracker Jack box…”

I let out a whistle when I see what he’s referring to and cross over to examine the ice axe. There are definitely enough serrated edges on this bad boy to mess up his hand. “Damn, someone raided the high-end stores. Come to think of it, their coats and boots all looked shiny and new, also.”

“The good news is, they didn’t damage the fence too badly.” Aiden’s report is similar to what Russ had said, which begs the question of why they bothered to try at all.

“I’m going to head to town tonight,” I tell them, holding my palm up when Mike opens his mouth. “I’m going to go down on snowshoes and scope things out a bit. I’ll try to meet up with that group that lives outside the perimeter, but if that doesn’t seem promising, I’ll just lay low until dusk and come back up.”

“Coming up is going to be a bitch,” Aiden helpfully contributes. “Why don’t we plan on me picking you up at that massive red cedar?”
