November 22nd

3:12 P.M.

This was gloriously, darkly delicious.

Zara was buzzed with excitement.

The look of utter defeat and acceptance in Liliana’s eyes as she sat silently and waited for her only chance at rescue to disappear was everything.

Soon it wouldn’t just be one pathetic washed-up actress whose life she held in the palm of her hand, it would be the entire country. Then one day the whole world.

She wasn’t stopping until she had achieved everything she and Kristoff had planned.

Nothing was going to stop her from avenging the death of her beloved and making all of their dreams come true.

Pleasure built between her legs. Zara still wore the beautiful gift Kristoff had gotten for her, she kept it on every day, but most days it didn’t have her body humming on the edge of pleasure, waiting for her man to give her permission to come like it had when she knew Kristoff was in control, tormenting her with beautiful pleasure.

Kristoff had owned her body as well as her heart and soul, and it hurt to live in a world without him. Hurt more than she ever could have imagined. Living without him was a kind of torture different from the games they would play. Then she had known that in his own twisted way, he would love and protect her, that he cared about her and wanted to bring her pleasure, but only when he knew the time was right.

Only when the darkness that lived inside both of them peaked.

Darkness was growing inside her now.

Now as she watched Liliana’s heart and soul get crushed. Knowing she had done that brought about that look of utter desolation.

Kristoff would be proud of her.

“They’re gone,” Aleksei announced. The man had been Kristoff’s personal bodyguard until her lover had assigned him to her. He had spent every second of every day for the last few years by her side. He was the one who would remove her chastity belt to allow her time to use the bathroom. He’d seen her naked, and even now, although Kristoff was gone and she didn’t have to continue to wear it, she did, and she allowed Aleksei to keep control of the key.

It was the closest thing she had to Kristoff.

“Then it’s time for us to leave. They’ll be back.” As nice as it would have been to take down the two Alpha Team members, they were skilled, and it was just her and Aleksei. She would get them but when the time was right. When the odds were in her favor.

“What are you going to do? Where are you taking me?” Liliana asked as Aleksei curled a hand around her arm and roughly pulled her to her feet.

“You, my dear, are going to be the bait that finally gives me Alpha Team,” Zara replied.

Aleksei tugged Liliana along with him, but she made it no more than a step before she cried out and stumbled.

“Hurry up,” she snapped. They didn’t have time for theatrics.

“I can’t walk anymore,” Liliana said. Pain filled her voice and was etched into her features.

Huffing an irritated sigh, she waved at Aleksei. “Carry her. We have to get out of here.”

With an annoyed growl, Aleksei threw the woman over his shoulder, and they both crept out of the cave. The Prey guys were good. Every time she thought she had them they did something to surprise her. With the one called Surf locked in her dungeon, Zara had thought that everything else was just a foregone conclusion.

She’d been wrong.

It wouldn’t happen again.

Toying with the team had been the wrong move. It allowed a window of opportunity Alpha Team had taken advantage of.

This time she was going straight for the kill shot.

Not quite as satisfying, but in the end the men responsible for Kristoff’s death would be punished.

Then it was time to move on to the next stage in her plan.
