“Swelling,” she said. “You’re going to see some swelling.”

I pulled the mirror up and looked at my new face. Yeah... swelling.

“Give yourself a week or two,” Doctor Collinsworth said. “Then tell me whether you’re satisfied or not.”

And she’d been right. Within the first week, I could already see the promise of my new face.

And now... still staring in fascination.

My eyes were the same; big, clear and blue. The only difference was with my left eyebrow which now arched in the most provocative manner.

My nose was small and straight, my lips full and luscious. My high cheekbones, previously hidden by residual baby fat, were now more visible, giving my face the appeal of a vixen rather than the bubbly little girl I’d once been.

To complete my new look... my new identity, I had my hair cut bluntly at the shoulder and dyed it jet black. The contrast of my raven black hair and my blue, blue eyes were spectacular.

“You ready to go, honey?” Katrina said with a delicate knock at my bedroom door.

“Yeah,” I said. Leaving my fascination with my new face I went to open the door.

“Oh, honey,” she said on seeing me. “You look like a femme fatale straight out of a 50’s thriller.”

Wearing a knee-length violet linen pencil skirt, cinched at the waist with a patent leather black belt and topped with a buttery yellow cashmere short sleeved sweater that hugged my new curves, I struck a pose.

“You really think so?” Since getting my hair cut, I’d tried various styles. Big voluminous curls gave me that pin-up appeal while flat and straight gave me an edge that I appreciated. I’d even tried very dark and heavy makeup and was surprised by how well goth suited me.

“If you’re not a femme fatale, you’re a pin-up girl. Either way... Beautiful. Absolutely lovely.”

I glanced down at my new boobs. Only two cup sizes larger than they’d been, my generous bosom gave my body a whole new silhouette.

“Are you ready to go? You don’t want to miss your flight.” Katrina said.

I glanced at my single, simple suitcase. Filled with my meager belongings, it was locked and lying on my bed.

I nodded.

“Now, that doesn’t look very much like conviction,” Katrina said.

I forced a smile and picked up my suitcase. “I’m the new girl on campus all over again.”

“Don’t worry,” Katrina said. “I’m sure you’ll make a splash.”
