Page 42 of Making Her Theirs

Another thing that has been lurking in my skull like a ghost. Knox and I have shared, but Lachlan has never shared a woman with us.

“Does it make you jealous seeing her with Knox and me?”

He hooks me with his stare. “No, it doesn’t. Seeing her face flare with lust. I love being inside of her, watching her eyes haze with want, her body heating until I think she’ll burst into flames. I want to give her that forever.”

I admit what’s in my head. “Yeah, I feel the same way. The scent of her drives me fucking insane. The taste of her sweet pussy is my favorite flavor. I could eat her out for days. Her heavy breasts in my hands. Her mouth branding mine.” I tug a hand through my hair. “Jesus.” I shake my head. “But it’s not just the sex. It’s that she’s interested in me. We have fun, sure, but we have some really cool heart-to-heart talks. It’s like she can see through to my soul, ya know?”

Lachlan grunts.

I’ve been interpreting my brother’s grunts for years. This is a positive one.

I study the plans in front of me.

“So, tell me what this means?”

Lachlan studies me for a beat until I raise my eyebrows and he lights up.

“There are four flats in pretty disrepair.” Lachlan’s eyes sparkle. “Hopefully she’ll come back for holidays where she’ll sleep in my room too. She says she loves sleeping with me.”

He indicates his bedroom door where my angel is snuggled up. The thought of waking her and coaxing another orgasm from her sweet body crosses my mind. It has crossed my mind about three million times today if I’m counting, but I’m not. But she’s exhausted after a taste of the three of us last night. I’m a selfish bastard, but not a heartless one. My angel can sleep, and I can relax knowing she’s safe.

“Yeah, well, I’m going to coax her into my bed for some nights so don’t get too comfortable.” I rib Lachlan, who laughs.

“Good luck, Finn.”

The smile falls from his face, and he shoves the papers away. “There’s no point in any of this, though she’s looking forward to making her home hers.” He gazes down at his hands. “Do you know she wants a dog when she goes back? Romeo or Juliet or both in the house she’s bought.” He frowns at something on the wall I can’t see then down at his hands.

“No, I didn’t.”

What kind? Would it be a regal purebred or a bitzer from the pound? Something that needs rescuing.

“I’ve always wanted a dog. Something to rescue.”

I stare at my brother in shock. “You never said you wanted a dog.”

He shrugs, sweeping the drawings into a drawer.

I stand and haul Lachlan to his feet and hug him. He doesn’t hug me back but gives me a firm pat. Quite affectionate for Lachlan.

“We’ll be okay,” I say, forever the optimist.

He nods and steps out of my embrace.

Shit, I hope so.

When Georgia goes, will I be able to keep Lachlan in the light?

My bones creak with tiredness, but there will be little sleep for me. I’ll be up finding Lachlan a dog.

Chapter Nineteen

GEORGIA

“Oh my God. I nearly wet my pants.” My cheeks ache from laughing.

“Stu has a thing for stationery. It was quite startling to find him in the cupboard sniffing pencils,” my new friend and colleague, Darcie says. Her incredible mauve eyes light up, and she giggles.

Something I found out firsthand. After finding him in the stationery cupboard while I was looking for post-its, with the light out, I asked Darcie what was happening with Stu.
