“Is the manwhore actually committing to something?” she joked.

“I already told you,” I whispered before leaning down and kissing her lips. I pushed my cock inside of her heat before pulling back and thrusting back in. “I’d like to fall with you.”

I thrust my hips forward, groaning as her muscles tightened around mine.

She moaned at the action before she parted her lips and pulled my mouth down to hers.

“Enough talking,” she whispered against my lips before she wrapped her legs around my waist and rocked up against me.

CHAPTER ELEVEN

FAITH

Lying in bed the next morning, I chuckled when I saw Emma walking past the open bedroom door. We hadn’t closed it after our night together and Emma had no tact. Seconds later, she proved it by walking straight into my bedroom and plonking herself down on the bottom of my bed.

The action woke up Jack and I could have smacked her for it. I was enjoying my uninterrupted staring at him.

“What’s going on?” he gritted out. His arm tightened around me before he leaned down and kissed the top of my head where I was laying it on his chest.

“Aw, you guys!” She let out a loud squeal before she continued, “You two are so damn cute together.”

“Emma!” I snapped. “Don’t you have somewhere to be?” I glared at her, waiting for her to get the hint.

She rolled her eyes at me before she got up off the bed.

“Obviously, I’m intruding,” she needlessly declared. “I’ll see you both at the workshop later,” she called before she closed the door.

“Sorry about that.” I lay back into the crook of his arm, smiling up at him.

“What are you smiling about?” he asked. He grinned down at me before I felt his hand begin tangling in the strands of my hair.

“You,” I admitted. “Just surprised that you’re still here.” I shrugged my shoulders, not really knowing how to explain my thoughts without them coming across as bitchy.

“Surprised,” he muttered, repeating the word. “Because I’m a manwhore.” He didn’t use his fingers to indicate quotation marks but his voice did.

Did he really not see himself as a manwhore?

“Jack . . .” I started. I held the blanket to my chest, not wanting to start an argument naked but he seemed content to want to have this conversation now. I wrapped the blanket around me and scooted to the edge of the bed.

I froze when I felt the mattress dip and seconds later, Jack came around the bed, wearing only his boxers.

“Don’t run away from me yet,” he said before he knelt down in front of me, stopping me from escaping. “Why am I getting the impression that last night was just . . .?” He stared at me for a moment before he reached up and tucked a loose strand behind my ear. “Was last night just a one-night stand?”

“I don’t know what you want me to say,” I whispered. “If I say it was just one night, I’m lying to you and if I say it was more than a one-night stand, I’m kidding myself.” I placed my hand on his. “Either way I lose.”

He stared up at me and I knew what he must have been thinking. He was probably thinking that I was being such a girl about it.

“Okay.” He nodded his head before he spoke again. “Last night was amazing.”

He gave me one of those boyish smiles of his that I loved so much.

“It was,” I whispered.”

“And it’s something that I definitely want to do again.” He leaned up and kissed me, swallowing my moan as he did. “So, I’ll say what I said to you before. Give me one chance. One chance to do this and let’s see what happens.”

“What about all of those other girls?” I asked.

“They don’t mean anything to me,” he gritted out. “I want you. Just you.” He looked so honest and truthful when he said that.
