“I’ll take you rock climbing at the gym to get you used to that. But this is small. I’m going to spot you and then Hen will pull you up when you’re close enough.”

His head dropped, lips resting right against my neck. I groaned when I felt the tip of his warm tongue press against my skin. His hands snaked around me, resting on my stomach, while he continued to torture me with his mouth. Kissing, licking, biting.

“Hey!” Hendrix called from above us. “Get up here so I can join.”

“You heard him, nabi. Hendrix wants you up top. Best not to make him wait anymore. The punishment will get worse the longer you don’t give him what he wants.”

“Punishment?” I asked, licking my suddenly dry lips. That thought excited me way more than climbing this stupid rock. “What does that mean?”

“Get up there and find out.”

Parker pulled away, his hands leaving my stomach. A loud smack filled the air, followed by a stinging to my ass. I shrieked, jolting forward.

“Find any lips, or good places for a firm grip. And keep them in mind for your feet, too.”

I reached above my head for a piece of the stone that jutted out enough for my fingertips, then gripped it.

“Good, now pick a place for your right foot, and get to it.” Hendrix was yelling from above me.

I tuned him out, too focused on what I needed to do next. I found a spot for my other hand, and then worked on my feet, getting them off the ground and into.

“The small piece you’ve got that’s barely holding your fingertips is called a crimp,” Parker explained. “They’re gonna be hard for you to manage. You want to get some jugs.” Conveniently, his hands squeezed my ass from behind.

I snorted. “My tits are definitely in the way.”

A laugh sounded from behind me, my rock climbing god laughing at my expense. “A jug is a big hold. There’s one right above you to your right. Get a good bearing with your feet, then grab that with your right hand.”

I followed his instructions easily. I knew if I didn’t, I’d fall. Sure, I wasn’t that high off the ground yet, but I was determined to show myself that I could do this.

“Feel the difference? How easy it is to grip versus the crimp?”

I nodded, even though I couldn’t see him. And then, I was off, searching for good holds, and using my legs to push off. It compensated for the lack of upper body strength I had.

“You’re doing great.” Parker’s words of encouragement sounded from below. “Damn, Thea. You’re speeding through this. Half way now. Don’t look down.”

I stiffened, taking in his words. Now all I wanted to do was look down. Anxiety was tingling through my bones, and I suddenly didn’t think I could move.

“Breathe.” Hendrix’s deep voice was pretty close to me.

I forced myself to look up, grinning when a hand was dangling beside me. Hendrix was lying on his stomach, half his body hanging off the edge.

“If you get scared, just grab my hand and I’ll pull you up. I think you got this though,” He said.

“She does. She’s got it,” Parker said from below, cheering me on. “It’s a piece of cake, isn’t it, baby?”

“I wouldn’t go that far,” I muttered.

Somehow I worked up enough courage and made it the rest of the way. Hendrix helped me over the top, pulling me by the armpits. Before I was even standing upright and able to catch my bearings, Parker was standing beside me.

“God, you’re quick,” I said, eyeing him with admiration.

And a little lust.

He was wearing a gray sleeveless t-shirt and red basketball shorts. His brown eyes met mine, a glint in them as he approached. A hand wrapped around my waist, tugging me. I closed my eyes, taking in the cool breeze as we stood on top of a rock that I freaking climbed myself.

Though I wasn’t truly alone. Hendrix was at the top, waiting to pull me up, and Parker was at the bottom, ready to catch me. We were a team, and we’re still a team, as I curl into Parker, my head finding the soft spot of his neck.

Hendrix stepped into us, his hands wrapping around too, embracing both me and Parker at the same time.
