“Why?” I questioned, “You barely even like me, why on earth would you want me to change your home? I don’t know if you’ve noticed or not, but I’m fucking useless when it comes to deciding things. I couldn’t even pick out a ring because I’ve never been given choices before.”

He stepped forward quickly, backing me into the wall of tile behind me before sliding his hand around the side of my face. To those around us, it probably looked romantic and passionate, but what they couldn’t see was how his thumb dug into the pulse at the base of my jaw as he tilted my head back, dominating me until I submitted to him. “Do not disrespect yourself like that ever again, Arianna,” he commanded with a scowl, “Just because something is new to you, does not mean you will fail at it. You are exceedingly resourceful and when you decide to do something, you find no hurdles you cannot cross. Don’t ever say something so demeaning about yourself again.” He lowered his face to mine and kissed my parted lips, lingering there. “Or I’ll take you over my knee, regardless of where we are, and teach you the lesson you desperately need to learn. There is no woman more powerful than you, Little One. By right as my wife, you are untouchable. But you didn’t need my last name to earn your title, for you were born for this.” He kissed me again, “Even if it was to the wrong parents who did you such a disservice for the first twenty years of your life. Mark my words here and now, I intend to nurture that natural born power that lives inside of you until you believe it too.”

“And what happens if I take that power and turn it against you?” I challenged stupidly, “You’ve said it yourself, the Rosetti runs deep inside of me.”

He smirked, kissing me once more before tilting his head to kiss the mark on my neck after releasing his thumb from my jugular, standing back up to his full height, “I’ll die smiling if you best me, for if you ever do, it will mean you’ve earned it.” He stepped back and reached down, adjusting his erection that grew down his pant leg obscenely like he didn’t care that the store was crowded with nosey onlookers as he gripped himself. “Now let’s get this project started before I take you out to the car and fuck you to relieve the ache you’ve caused in my balls.”

“Me?” I asked innocently, fluttering my eyelashes up at him.

“Yes, you,” he quirked one brow, “You know sparing with you, gets me hard. It’s why you insist on being a pain in my ass daily.”

“Ha,” I tilted my head back and mocked him with a maniacal laugh until he spanked my ass as I walked away, turning that laugh into a yelp and a moan. “That’s not fighting fair.”

“I wasn’t fighting,” He whispered in my ear from behind me, pressing his erection into my ass. “I’ll save that energy for tonight.”

Chapter 16 – Arianna

“Shoppingshouldbefun, not daunting,” I huffed, walking out of a boutique that smelled like a whore house.

Molly chuckled as she walked beside me towards the next store we were going to. “You just have a sour attitude today, that’s all.”

“I do, don’t I?” I huffed, blowing my bangs off my face dramatically. It was hot as balls out, and we’d been in and out of shops all morning, but the sun was high up in the sky and I was tired.

“It’s to be expected when you’re getting so little sleep, thanks to your delicious husband.” She smirked with a side-eye glance as I nudged her.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” I rolled my eyes back and winked at her.

She wore a black skirt and maroon collared shirt to match the colors of the ship we were sailing around the Mediterranean on, but I knew she must be far warmer than I was in my light sundress.

“Are you purposely trying to look like the crew on the ship?” I asked, nodding to her wardrobe.

She shrugged and adjusted her purse on her shoulder, “It would look odd if I wore my maid’s dress from Armarow on the streets of Ibiza. Mr. Capasso expects that there be a sort of uniform appearance wherever his staff is.”

“It looks odd to have you wearing long sleeves and a skirt down past your knees in this god-awful heat,” I said and then an idea crossed my mind. “Let’s fix that.”

She stopped walking and squinted her eyes at me. “I don’t like the sounds of that.”

I grinned at her and took her hand, dragging her along as she gave Saul and Dio a questioning glance, who just shrugged and followed after us. “This is going to be so much fun.”

“No.Noway, absolutelynot,” Molly said from inside her changing room an hour later.

“Show me,” I demanded excitedly from the velvet chair I took over while she tried on all the clothes, I instructed the shopkeepers to get for her.

“No.”

“Yes.”

“It’s not in my job description.”

“Pleasing me is in your job description, and this pleases me so damn much it’s alarming.” I giggled.

“Ari,” she groaned. “I can’t wear this!”

“Show me!”

“Ugh!” She ripped the curtain back and stormed out into the private room we commandeered. The keepers were more than happy to assist Mr. Capasso’s wife with whatever I wanted after Saul made introductions. It should have revolted me that they were less than helpful before they knew my last name, but I decided to utilize their shallowness to Molly’s benefit.

Didn’t hurt that I had no spending limit on the black card that Saul carried in his wallet with Nico’s name on it either.
