“Who is who?” I ask, trying not to let on that I’m not ready to go back to New York yet. My Kookum (Grandmother) always told us that home isn’t a place, it’s a feeling. Mae is home.

Viking grunts as he pulls out the chair. Do I want to tell him about what’s going on? Or would it be better to keep her to myself?

Rubbing my hands over my forehead, I sigh. “Her name is Mar Ironside. She is it. I’ve never felt this strong of a connection before. Talking on the phone to her, fuck, even texting her makes me feel like I found my unicorn.”

“Are you coming home?” Viking asks, the one question I have been asking myself over the last week.

“I want to, but I want her.”

“Listen, soulmate love is not something that you find too often. So, bring her down here for a week or two and see how she fits in. If she blends well with the club and the rules, then you’ll know whether or not she is the right woman for you. Commando, I know how you’re feeling. I felt the same way with Racy.” He says, hanging up the phone.

I look at the antique clock on the wall. To anyone else, it would look like a dreamcatcher with a moonlight scene with bears. The moon moves with the hour and the minutes is stars. When it gets to the bottom of the clock, it looks like reflections in water on my picture. Making me twenty minutes from being late.

Me:On my way, baby.

Mae:See you soon, handsome.

Pocketing my phone into my back pocket, I grab my keys and head out the door. Hopefully, this will be the one that eases my mind about us.

“I need a vacation. Somewhere I have never been.” She says, as we leisurely walk through town. She told me that the dancing is starting to get on her nerves, but that she needs the money to make sure she is able to live, and that her mom would be okay.

“Where have you not been?” I ask, bringing her hand up to my chest, forcing her to stop and turn into me.

“That would be everywhere. The furthest I have been in Ontario is down to Toronto for an appointment for my dad.” She states, looking into my eyes.

“Would you come back with me for a few weeks? I have to head to New York, and visit with my family. I want you to come and meet everyone.” I say, taking the chance that she will agree and come with me.

“I would love that. When?” She says, smiling at me before lifting on her toes and gently kissing my lips.

“Fuck, baby. I love your lips on mine, but you always leave me ready to burst in public. When can you get time off?” I say, bringing my hand to the back of her head. A small smirk at the corner of her lips amuses me. This woman has had my whole attention since I first saw her. The desire to be around her has only gotten stronger.

I feel her reach around to her back pocket and grab her phone. She blindly hits a button and the phone starts to ring. “Hello, you’ve reached Roland at Club Curve. How may I help you?” Roland says, papers flipping in the background.

“Hey Rol, it’s Mae. Take me off the call for the next two weeks.” She says, then steps back and turns so that they can have a conversation. I smile. This woman has taken every stereotype I had about women in general and blew it out of the water. Every woman I have ever had feelings for was needy and demanding. If I didn’t give them my full attention, then they would start accusing me of sleeping with anyone that blinked my way.

Me:I’ll be heading back in a few days. Bringing someone with me.

Shooting a text off to Viking before putting my phone in my back pocket and stepping into Mae.

“Yes, Rol. I am one hundred percent certain that I will be safe. I have enough money that if something were to happen, I could get home.” She whispers, a small smile playing on her lips as she nods her head and leans into my body.

“Baby girl, if something were to happen, we would both be coming back.” I whisper, my lips against her ear. She shivers, as my breath caresses her ear and my lips take her lobe between them.

She moans low, and then clears her throat, “yeah Roland, I am okay. I am with Max.” She giggles, “yes Max, I believe everyone calls him Commando.”

Spinning her in my arms, I draw her into my body. Dropping my lips to her neck and placing kisses along her collarbone. She quickly ends her call, wraps her arms around my body and places her phone in my other pocket.

“Mister, if you keep kissing my neck, people are going to get a thrill and a show.” She says, moving her hands from my hips to grip my ass. Fucking perfect. No woman has ever shown how much they are into me. It’s usually flick it and quit it.

“Baby, come back to my place and I’ll show you how much of a thrill I can give you.” I whisper, running my tongue up the chord of her neck and sucking her lobe into my mouth.

“Take me home,” she says, her voice soft but filled with lust. If I don’t step back and move us to my truck, then the people around us are going to catch my naked ass plowing into her soft body.

Taking a deep breath, her scent filling my nose. I run my hands down her back and grip her right hand in my left. “Let’s go.” I smile at her and start walking backward toward the parking lot.
