Smiling as I walk down the back hall to the door when I hear, “well hello handsome. Come to get some twin action?” Cinda states, as Ella giggles.

“No,” a deep voice says, sounding more like a bark than anything human.

“Are you sure? We can give you all the pleasure.” Ella states as I walk into the room, shaking my head.

“Get out!” he demands, causing me to stop, and slowly turn to look at the man standing in the dressing room. Cinda and Ella smirking at me.

“You get out caveman. This is the exotic dancers changing area.” I state, then turning and placing my stuff in my locker.

“Beautiful, I wasn’t talking to you. The bubble head twins need to leave.” He says, the thump of his boots as he crosses the floor to me. He stands close, leaning in and whispering, “you are who I was looking for.” His hot breath causing me to shiver and my nipples to stiffen.

“Will you come out to the local diner?” He says, his lips lightly touching my lobe.

“You could have the two of us, but you choose her?” Cinda asks, disbelief written on her face.

“You must think she is easy because she is the showstopper.” Ella states, cackling and pretending to zip her legs.

“Now girls, the reason why I asked Ms. Irons for coffee is because she showed class on the stage, not vulgar. A woman is someone that can go out onto stage and command a room filled of men, and do it with poise and class.” He says, his arm closes around my front. A sign of possession, of showing the women in the room that he has found someone that he is interested in.

“Max!” Roland shouts, as he walks in the room and takes in our position. “Good choose, man. Sweetest woman you’ve ever met.”

“Get dressed, beautiful. I am going to talk to Rolly. Take your time. You are worth the wait, sweetheart.” He whispers, kissing my neck and then my shoulder, before sliding his hand slowly from my other hip. Then he leaves the room, and me standing there with my mouth hanging open.

Commando

“So, Irons?” Roland asks, a smirk playing on his lips as he puts his shoulder on the wall and crosses his legs.

“Irons isn’t her real name. What’s her name?” I ask, watching the door for signs that the beauty from the stage has finished and is ready to go.

“Sorry, Max. Not my story to tell. If she wants you to know, she will tell you. That girl has been through shit.” He says, watching as the door opens and the twins walk out.

Roland and I continue talking, ignoring them as they try to speak, until they stand between us and boldly grips our crotches.

“I suggest you let go of me.” I growl, baring my teeth at the woman in front of me. The door behind me opens and I know that it’s the beauty from the stage.

“Oh, honey. You know we are down for a foursome.” The chick in front of me says, trying to step closer.

“You know Ella. You don’t pass as the brightest light bulb. But let me fill you girls in on a few things. First…” she points to the one in front of Roland, “married men or men who are taken are off limits. Just because he is a pretty object doesn’t give you the right to lay your hands on him. Fuck, if they don’t want you to touch them, you shouldn’t be touching them. Second, pretty sure you were in the same room as I was when buddy staked his claim. It certainly wasn’t on either of you two. Now if you’ll excuse me. I am leaving and heading to the diner for an early breakfast. Roland, make sure you let wifey know about what happened here. Nothing like second hand false information to get you in trouble.” She says, turns her head to me and smiles, before walking to the employee exit and leaving.

Roland chuckles, removes the hand that was running down his chest, and straightens. “Listen, if she is what you want. Make sure it’s for more than a night. She is one hundred percent worth it.” Roland says, pulling his phone from his back pocket and places his thumb over the biometrics on his screen.

I straighten and move around the girls without saying a word. They heard me in the change room, they know who I was interested in. Opening the door and stepping through, I watch as the beauty from the stage closes the trunk of her car and makes her way to the driver side door. She stops and lifts her head.

Slowly making my way toward her. Her body is something that the boys at the clubhouse would crave. There would literally be knockdown drag-out fights just to get her attention. Here, alone, she is mine, all mine, and I plan on doing exactly what Roland said, and making her mine.

“So you're telling me the only reason why you became a dancer is to help pay for the costs surrounding your dad’s funeral?’ I ask, stabbing my fork into the giant plate of poutine and twirling the cheese curd around.

“Yeah, when he died, it was sudden. My parents were that prepared for all the costs, and my job at the time had just cut me back to three days a week. When I approached them about giving me more hours, they said they couldn’t and that they couldn’t guarantee the three days I was offered the week prior. I started looking that day. Happened to come across Club Curve and applied. Within the first day, I was already bringing in more tips than the other girls, and Roland made me the showstopper.” She says, leaning over and taking a bite of her Montreal smoked meat on rye sandwich.

“So your dad’s death was recent?” I ask, watching as she closes her eyes and takes a deep breath. A tear trickles down her cheek.

“My dad’s service is tomorrow. We were able to get everything settled. Roland helped me back for the cremation. I am working on making sure my mom is settled and doesn’t have to worry about anything.” She says, taking a deep breath and slowly letting it out.

Reaching across the table I grab her hand, “hey babe, come here.” I whisper.

She stands up from her chair, without letting go of my hand, and walks around. When she is standing in front of me, I spin so my legs are out from underneath the table. I pull on her arm and pat my lap. “I know that we have just met. There is so much I want to learn about you, and so much I want to tell you about. Right now, you need to know you don’t have to do it alone. I will be by your side. Making sure that you give your dad the perfect send off. Then we will go to my Kookum (Grandmother)’s property and plant a tree in his honor.”
