She pushes herself up and smiles. “Please repeat that.”

Groaning, I close my eyes and know my car won’t survive in my wife’s hand. I mentally accept it and open my eyes. “You can have the keys to my car. And drive it whenever you want.”

She grabs my face and covers it in kisses. “You are the best husband in the whole world.”

Pulling her against my chest, I accept that sacrificing my car is a price worth paying.

“But I wasn’t going to ask for the keys.”

I lift Lina above me and frown. “What the hell?”

“I want to take some classes at the school I told you about. I could stay with Grandmother and have round-the-clock security if it would make you feel better.”

“So you have no interest in driving my car?”

“No. I’m a horrible driver.” She rolls on her back and laughs. “It would be too stressful.”

“Then why have you asked me every day for two months?”

“If you trust me with your prized possession, then I know you will eventually give me your heart. I want all of you, Yuri.”

“But not my car?”

“No. It’s kind of loud. I like Vlad’s car better. It’s so quiet and smooth and has that great sound system.”

“It’s a hybrid.”

“It’s what everyone should be driving. Much better for the environment.”

I ignore the comment and sit up. “We’ll figure out the London thing, but it will take some time.”

“As long as I know it’s possible, I don’t care how long it takes.”

“My love, anything is possible. You have money and a ruthless husband. That’s pretty much the golden ticket.”

“Not to mention a Mustang Shelly that I can drive anytime I want.”

“Shelby.” I glance over and see her biting back a smile. “You are torturing me. I respect that.”

“I figured as much.”

I pull her into my arms and sweep back her hair. “I never thought I would find someone who sees me clearly and accepts me fully.”

“I don’t love you despite your nature. I love you because of it. I accept your brutality along with your kindness. Your sins, along with your virtues. I accept it all and love you wholly. All I ask is that you never leave.”

“You have me. Until every last star in the galaxy dies. You have me.”

EPILOGUE

I step out the front door of our building and see my breathtaking wife standing in the open door of a black 1968 Shelby Mustang. “Did you buy yourself a little present?”

Twirling the key ring on her finger, she smiles. “No.”

Fedor leans against the building and smirks. “You didn’t want to give me a heads-up?”

“And get on the wrong side of your wife?” He shakes his head. “Not going to happen.”

A part of me wants to address the lack of respect, but knowing he would take a bullet for Lina, stops me from doing so.
