He flips me over, drags me to the edge of the bed, and throws my heels up on his shoulder.

I watch him stroke his enormous erection before sliding it deep inside me. Reaching for his shoulders, I gasp at the sheer pleasure of being filled by my husband.

“Did you get what you want?”

“Yes.”

He thrusts his hips sharply. “Good.” Tangling his hands into my hair, he fucks me with all his strength as our hips fall into sync.

We are one, and my pussy clamps down on his cock, and he drives into me, making the sheets scrape my skin. I convulse in pleasure and feel him kiss my neck.

The sound of his release fills the room, and he shudders as he comes, triggering aftershocks that leave me quivering and limp. When his hips slowly cease rocking, he releases his weight off my chest but doesn’t pull out. “I will always choose you.” Kissing me softly, he gazes into my eyes, and I feel how present he is. It’s just the two of us floating on a big rock spinning through space.

“I will love you until the end of time. No matter what.”

“How can you make a statement like that?”

“Because I know.” He presses his hand to his chest, “Deep in my heart where all the truths, horrible and beautiful live.”

“You’ve run your hands over the dents and worn edges of my heart, filling them with love and acceptance. There is no more extraordinary gift, and I will spend the rest of my life showing you how very much I love you.”

Rolling us over, he grins. “Ride me, wife. And show me how we are made for one another.”

Slowly I push myself up and rest my hands on his muscled chest. “If I must.” I guide him to my entrance and slowly sink down. “If I have to endure more orgasms in the name of love, so be it.” I tighten my muscles and watch his eyes flicker. “Marriage is work, and,” his large hands grip my hips, “I’m here for it.”

“Less talking wife and more action.”

He sits up, smiles like the devil and takes over, driving himself into my body and taking me to the place only he can.

I walk out of the bedroom and see the loft door slide close. “What are we having for dinner?”

“Chinese.”

“Egg rolls?” He rolls his eyes and I laugh as I pull down plates. “I guess a month and a half of marriage has taught you a few things.”

“I now order six egg rolls, so I have a fighting chance of grabbing one before they disappear.”

I shrug carelessly. “And I know that you like sweets despite pretending not to.”

“Is that why we have a freezer filled with ice cream and a jar that never seems to run out of cookies?”

“Duh!” He kisses my cheek and pours two glasses of wine as I pull out cutlery. “And when Stasia opens her bakery, we’ll have even more.”

“Speaking of breaking open the piggy bank, tell me where the key was hidden.”

I put up my finger, grab the stack of papers we discovered and then sit at the island. “Stasia suggested going through the books, and low and behold, we discovered a treasure trove of notes.” I lift the first one. “Beautiful. Crushingly so. You look like the rest of my life.”

“Did your father write that?”

“Yes.” I point to the initials on the bottom. “VT.”

“How many are there?”

“We only made it through half the books, but there are at least three dozen so far.”

“Your grandmother was right. They did have a love story.”
