This couldn’t be considered a threesome, right? Hawk didn’t know someone else was touching me.

Fane toyed with my other nipple, twisting and flicking with an expertise that made everything Hawk did pale in comparison. My lids fluttered closed, and I pretended Fane’s mouth was on me, his hard cock stroking my aching center.

“Fane.” The name tumbled out of my mouth without my permission, too low for Hawk to hear. But the demon shifter certainly heard it.

His wicked chuckle vibrated my skin, making me shiver. I wanted to punch him as much as I wanted to kiss him.

Fane pressed his teeth into my neck tattoo, and I cried out as pleasure hit me with enough force that I almost kicked Hawk off.

Hawk drew away to study me, his cheeks flushed and lips damp. What did he see staring back? Could he decipher the guilt all over my face? The shame?

Instead of breaking away, Hawk began to push his sweatpants down. “I have protection.”

“Look at that,” Fane whispered against my neck, teeth scraping my skin and delivering jolts of pleasure. “Little Junior thinks he’s responsible for making you scream.”

My hand snapped out, and I caught Hawk’s wrist before he could finish pulling his pants down his hips. “Maybe we should slow down.” I released him and tried to zip my sports bra with trembling hands.

Hawk shook his head as if clearing the fog and looked around, remembering that we were in the library. “You’re right. I wasn’t thinking, Tate.”

Would he have really screwed me on a table in the library where anyone could walk in?

A buzzing echoed, and Hawk reached into his pocket, pulling out his phone. “My aunt wants all ravens on patrolling duties to meet in the Magnolia conference room.”

I tried zipping up my bra once again, and a hand rested over mine to steady it. I glared at Fane, wanting to shove him off, but something in his eyes stopped me. It wasn’t just fury. There was something else that had my pulse rising.

Jealousy?

Possessiveness?

Did he think he was the only one who could touch me?

“Here.” Hawk tossed me my shirt. “Are you okay?”

“Yeah. Fine.”

Uh, no, I wasn’t.

After I shoved the shirt over my head, Fane’s mouth brushed my ear again, and a terrible, sinful chuckle rolled out of him. “I have ruined you for anyone else. No one, not Junior here or even Ruin, can make you feel alive like I can. No one.”

“Go to hell.”

Fane gripped my chin and turned me until our lips met. “You’re mine, Teague.”

Roxie’s beamingsmile soured when Hawk and I walked into the room together with messy hair, flushed cheeks, and rumpled clothes. Did she realize we were hooking up less than five minutes ago?

Part of me wanted to rub it in her face. The other part was still freaked out that Fane had been there. And participated.

For fuck’s sake. What was wrong with me?

“I saved a seat for you, Hawk.” She motioned to the metal and hard plastic chair at one of the front tables. “I didn’t know Coltrane had cleared Tate for patrolling, so I didn’t save one for her.”

Yeah, right.

“Of course she’d be cleared for duty.” Hawk winked at me. “It’s Tate.”

Roxie shrugged. “Well, I still didn’t save you a seat. Maybe you can find one in the back, Tate.”
