Taio reached for his shoulder, and Feng relaxed as his dragon came out in human size, and Taio backed up.
“What’s he doing?”
“He wanted her, and you helped to take her away. He’s pissed. Dragons do not like sharing, but we will have to. I will contact Delun. He has experience with sharing an omega.”
“She’s a beta.”
“If you are going to say she doesn’t deserve it, he is going to claw up your dick so that you get a feel for what I did to her. He chose her, and all I had to do was not fuck it up.”
Chapter Two
Olly looked at the enormous Japanese-style house that the driver had brought her to, and she swallowed. Polly came out wearing a kimono with a black kitten in her arms. The driver opened the door, and Olly grabbed her backpack. She left the car and walked up the steps to be hugged by her sister. “Olly, I am so glad you are here. We will take care of you if you need a hand.”
Olly smiled. “Jess and Caber booted me out. They don’t trust me not to lift heavy stuff.”
Polly grinned. “Rightly so. This is Jiji. He’s my little buddy. So, do you want to go soak? We have a warm pool.”
“Sure. I could use a bit of relaxation after the drive.” Olly smiled, and her twin led her through the formal entryway. Shoes were removed, the housekeeper was introduced, and she grinned and clapped, muttering that she had the two most beautiful women in the city under her roof.
Fifteen minutes later, they were soaking in the gently warm part of the spacious hot spring.
Polly looked at her. “I am so glad to have you here.”
“Thank you for inviting me. Jess gave me a lecture on accepting help. Caber gave me a lecture on accepting help, and Melbourne did the same. I think even the horses were lecturing me.” Olly smirked. “It was like that time I shaved Molly’s head when we were twelve.”
Polly covered her mouth and laughed. “Ah, that was good. You got your butt tanned.”
“Worth it.” Olly smiled. “Just like all the other times I messed with her.”
“Which was why they came after me instead of you. No way Molly wanted you under her roof.”
They giggled together, and Olly felt better.
When Nari came to shoo them out of the spring, Polly examined the mark on Olly’s back. “Wow. Mine is basic compared to this.”
“Maybe whatever deity did this to me knew that Feng would be rather thick about it.”
They dried off and got dressed in cotton kimonos. She pinned her hair on her head, and Polly did as well. Nari directed them to one of the tea rooms and prepared a snack for them.
Nari stroked Olly’s cheek and patted her shoulder. Olly smiled. “So, everyone knows?”
Polly nodded. “Pretty much. Minoru is trying to find you another alpha with a close energy signature.”
Polly calmly mixed a bowl of green tea and then poured it into two cups. “I know Jess has told you about her experience being pregnant with no alpha. I know of another beta who had a child after she lost track of her alpha, and the delivery nearly killed her. You are still just queasy and barfing. We want to stabilize you before things progress.” Penny’s phone went off, and she looked at it. “Wow. He’s quick.”
“What is he doing?”
“After consulting with Caber and Melbourne, they found a possibility for you. Also, Feng and Taio have been located, and everyone is coming here for dinner. We are getting takeout sushi.”
“Oh, do they have barbeque eel?”
Polly laughed. “Yes, yes, they do.”
“What kind of alpha is it?”
“Something called a thunder beast. He’s the elder brother of someone who was at the wedding.”
“Well, looks like I am going to be up for an interesting time.” Olly sighed and sipped her tea.
