“You are lickable, and maybe I did lick you,” she admitted.

“Feel free to lick me anytime.”

“Really?”

“Really. I pretty much think everything you do is cute. It’s an affliction.” He gave a fake sigh and she giggled.

She leaned back to look up at him. He smiled gently down at her. There was some scruff on his cheeks, he obviously hadn’t shaved in a few days. And it only made him look sexier.

“You’re so gorgeous.”

One of those dimples appeared in his cheek as he stared down at her, eyes dancing in amusement.

“Well, thank you, sweetheart. So are you.”

She sighed, feeling like she was floating. Part of it was her body still recovering from everything. Part of it was Xavier.

Then his head started to lower, his lips coming towards her. The kiss was sweet, gentle, and she opened her mouth before remembering that she probably needed to brush her teeth.

Leaning back, she wrinkled her nose. “Do I have stinky breath? I should brush my teeth.”

“Sweetheart, your breath is just fine.” He leaned in and kissed her again. “And even if it was stinky, I wouldn’t care.”

She sighed. “I guess that’s true love.”

“I guess it is. Now, how would you like to go sneak into bed with Daddy?”

“Can we give him a fright, pretending we’re zombies come to eat his brains?” she asked.

He winked at her. “Exactly what I was thinking.”
