She moved into one of the guestrooms, as I’d made her promise. Callie had asked excited questions at the prospect of her nanny moving in.

“Why's she moving in with us?” Callie had asked, her head tilted to the side. A classic move her mother had always made when she was curious about something.

“Because I thought you would like that,” I answered as diplomatically as I could. “Don't you?”

“I do.” She had answered honestly. “We’ve been having a lot of fun. We follow this schedule we wrote ourselves.” Callie had informed me with a small smile. “I feel like she's my best friend.”

I had ruffled her hair.

“That's why I like having her around.”

It was half the truth. I knew that Paislee's being around constantly was going to make Callie even happier, and that happiness was going to rub off on me too.

“You’ve never really had one of those, have you?”

Callie had shaken her head.

She didn't have to know that Paislee never spent one night in the guest room where her belongings were.

I never thought I'd be able to find a woman that Callie would so completely bond with. But with Paislee, it happened.

I have been distracted since I got to work this morning. I have been unable to get the image of Paislee naked and lounging in my king-sized bed out of my mind. She looked like a dream. Even though I'd taken her the night before, I realize that I still want more.

The more days that I come home to her arms, the more the sex begins to feel different. I have not allowed myself to think about it. I have not allowed myself to wonder about why it feels like I am freefalling each time I make love to Paislee until we reach our peak together.

I don't want the guilt to eat at me. I have deliberately not allowed myself to look at the picture of Charlotte on the corner of the desk. But now I do. I allow my gaze to wander to the picture of the only woman I've ever loved. I wonder if she'd approve of Paislee. I give a bitter chuckle at the realization that I would do just about anything to know if she really would approve.

I never want to lose Paislee. Her presence in my life has made things so much better, so much easier. I realize that thinking about her is only causing me to miss her more.

I pick up my telephone and dial her. Paislee picks up on the first ring.

“Hello, Sebastian.”

An automatic smile grazes my lips at the sound of her voice.

“How's it going?”

“It's going well.” She answers. I can make out Callie's voice in the background. “Callie and I want to get something to eat now.” She tells me.

“Maybe you both can come to my office for lunch.”

I am a little surprised at my invitation, but the second the words are out of my mouth, I realize that I want that.

“You want Callie and me to meet up with you for lunch?”

“That's what I just said.” I chuckle. “Callie has never been to my office. I would love to show her around, and, of course, you also.”

“Well, I better tell Callie not to take out the bread for the sandwiches.” She tells me with a low chuckle.

“You do that.” I gush. “Robert will pick you both up in fifteen minutes.” I pause and then ask. “Will you be ready in fifteen minutes?”

“Even less,” she tells me. “We are both dressed for today's lesson. I only need to freshen up a little,” she says, her voice going low in the way it does when she's beginning to get aroused.

I resist the urge to ask the naughty question that is on the tip of my tongue.

“Alright then, I'll see you soon.”

“See you soon,” Paislee says and hangs up.
