“Come one, baby. I’m going to make you feel so good.” His reaction is switching from hot to cold, making him unpredictable. His hand runs down my breast, across my stomach.
“Drake, I’m not—” But I don’t finish before he’s ripped off me.
“She said no,” Everett roars.
I’ve heard how scary Everett can be, but this is the first time I’m seeing it up close. He looks absolutely lethal. He throws Drake to the ground, a moan coming from the mess of a man on the cold, hard ground. I scramble to cover up, pulling my swimsuit bottoms back up with shaky hands. Everett grabs Drake by the neck, dragging him to the pool, and dunks him under the water. Holding him there.
“Ever…” I say calmly, walking over to him. He pulls him back up as Drake tries catching his breath, but before he can, Everett holds him underwater again. “Everett!”
Finally looking up at me, I see murder in his eyes. “He do that to your face?” I nod. Everett looks back to the water, pushing Drake in deeper.
“Let him go,” I whisper.
Everett growls, ripping Drake out of the water and tossing him against the wall. Drake hits the rock with a loud, sick bang. “And in case you were wondering, you and Monroe are fucking through. I catch you anywhere near her and I’ll fucking kill you.” Everett’s voice is deadly.
Drake stumbles to his feet, using the wall to help himself escape the cave. Turning to look at me, Everett’s face softens as he takes his shirt off and tosses it to me. I quickly slip it on, thanking him. He walks over, wrapping me up in his strong arms. He presses a kiss to my forehead as tears fall down my cheeks. I was almost raped. By my own boyfriend. My body trembles and I almost collapse until Everett picks me up bridal style, walking me to his house and laying me in his bed. He says something but I’m too out of it. I just fall asleep.
