“Rubbing his dick on me.”

“You don’t like that?”

“Maybe from the right kind of guy. Not some rando.”

“Rando? Well, there’s a redheaded woman here that wants to gouge your eyes out now.”

I looked over my shoulder but didn’t see anyone. “She your girlfriend?”

“No, but she’s crazy about me. Thought I should warn you.”

“Thanks, I guess.”

Minni brought over two stainless steel mugs and two thick glasses with a lemon peel at the bottom. She produced a butane lighter, but Kingpin stopped her. He struck a match and lit the liquid in one of the mugs on fire. As the flame danced before us, he opened his mouth and put the match out on his tongue. Fuck. As if that wasn’t enough of a show, Minni poured the burning fluid from mug to mug in front of us. Elongating the blue fiery stream with each pour, she made a spectacle out of it. Onlookers gathered while bright blue fire danced between her hands like magic until she poured our flaming drinks.

Kingpin carefully positioned one in front of me. “I give you a blue blazer.”

“How am I supposed to drink this?”

Kingpin picked it up, holding it almost to my lips. “You put your lips together and blow.”

Sputtering a laugh, I wrapped my hands around the warm cup and did just that. The biker watched my every move, almost licking his lips. He put his ring covered hand over his to put out the fire, impressing me again.

Holding up the glass, he toasted me. “To us,” he winked.

Tasting the drink, I said, “Oh, it’s like a hot toddy. Except strong.”

Kingpin finished his almost immediately. “Cask strength scotch, lemon and hot water. Fire of course. That’s the most important part. Of everything.”

“Everything?”

“Yes, fire. The thrill. The danger. Without it, nothing matters… You look familiar.” Studying me, his eyes squinted. “It’s like I’ve seen you before. Maybe in a dream. What are you looking for Sky?”

“How do you know my name?”

“How do you know mine?” Kingpin asked.

I pointed to his vest to the patch that only said President. Oh. I stuttered, “I came to audition. Leo brought me. She told me your name.”

Kingpin grabbed my wrist, stopping me from touching his vest. “Why are you really here, Sky?” His voice let me know he was serious.

“I’m looking for an old biker,” I started.

“No old bikers here tonight. Some of them should be around later if you want to stick around.”

I looked at the exit. “Maybe I should go.”

His eyes whipped all over me like I was a piece of meat. “Audition for me and then maybe we’ll talk business.” Kingpin’s tone was just as harsh. He was used to giving orders.

“Opry said no auditions on the weekends.”

“Opry’s not the boss around here. I am. ” Kingpin still held my wrist and his grip only grew stronger.

Willingness gushed through my veins. I wanted to submit to this outlaw.

“Do you feel that?” Kingpin said, shocking me.

“What?”
