“Inform your mother,” he reminded me as I let go of him and turned away to regroup with my men, who stood there in line formation, wide smiles across their faces.
“Only if you stop lying to yourself and get back with her.”
“I don’t do sharing,” he huffed as I reached my men and turned around to look at him and Alpha Memphis.
“Well, figure it out,” I tossed at him. “Or else I’ll have to find a way to get your heart to stop beating since you’re planning to waste it because of that big, fat ego of yours.”
He actually began to blush before he huffed and crossed his arms.
“Look who’s talking.”
“Genetic,” I tossed back as I sweetly smiled. “I’ll check in with Mother if you’ve personally reached out to her, which means you got an hour or less, or else I’m coming back here and fucking shit up.”
“You’re Alpha for what, 48 hours, and you’re acting as if you rule me,” he grumbled but was smiling from ear to ear. “Get going, Willow. I’ll see you when you get back.”
My smile made my cheeks hurt as I looked at him one last time.
