“O-okay.”
I grin and pull her into my lap, wrapping my arms around her and giving her a big kiss.
“Best decision you’ve ever made,” I tell her.
“What, better than adding pineapple to my pizza?”
“After that swing, I know you’re gonna be kinky as fuck,” I tease, laughing. She joins in with my laughter but suddenly she’s gone from my lap with a soft squeal.
She wriggles in Whit’s arms but he pins her and devours her mouth in a claiming kiss. I shake my head. Competitive asshole.
Yas patiently waits his turn, a content smile on his face. When Whit eventually puts Lumi down, she turns to Yas with a shy smile and he opens his arms for her. They hug and Yas nuzzles her neck, breathing in her scent. His bear unleashes a low purr, and Lumi leans into him. Yas trails his lips along her jawline before capturing her mouth in a kiss too, sealing the deal.
“There’s no take-backs now, we’ve kissed on it!” I tease. Everyone laughs.
“So how do we do this? When?”
“As soon as possible. I’ll help you move tomorrow if you like,” Yas offers eagerly.
“Let me talk to Ade first. Maybe we could come over tomorrow to see the place and move in a few weeks?”
“No. I’m not waiting that long. You can have til the weekend and then I’m coming to get you,” Whit growls, doing an excellent impression of a caveman.
“Can I take you out tomorrow, Lumi?” Yas asks quietly. I can tell he’s nervous but that he really wants to spend some time with her. Now that he knows she can shift into a polar bear like him, he’s probably desperate to go for a run with her. “The guys can watch Ade maybe even help her start packing.”
“Okay.” Lumi smiles happily and Yas beams back at her. Even Whit looks like less of a grumpy asshole. We sit back in our chairs and I line a film up, loving the way Lumi curls into me when I put my arm around her shoulder. It’s the first time I’ve seen her truly relax, but it won’t be the last.
