CHAPTER 29

Cash

Idipped my head beneath the spray in my shower and tried not to think about how badly I wished that Cheyenne was here with me.

It felt so wrong that she’d gone home alone. I’d been so close to asking if she wanted to come over, but I’d made a promise to Jimmy that I’d keep my distance, so I hadn’t. I didn’t want to do anything that would’ve spoiled Jimmy and Isabella’s day.

I hoped that at some point Billy would accept us. If there was an “us”. It’s not like we’d had the relationship talk or anything. She’d said she wanted me to take her virginity and I had.

Just thinking about how tight she’d been as her inner walls squeezed around me had me rock hard. I could easily take matters into my own hands, and normally in this state, I would. But jacking off seemed like such a letdown after being with Cheyenne.

I sighed in frustration as I shut the water off and stepped out onto my cold tile flooring. I dried myself off and my dick sprang up and down like a metal spring door stop that someone flicked as the towel brushed over it. I stared down at my hard on and wondered how long it was going to take for this thing to go down. I’d been at half chub all night just looking at Cheyenne.

I’d heard of men having to go to the doctor after taking the little blue pill, but I wondered if any had ever had to go because they were whipped and couldn’t jack off because they’d been with their real life fantasy and nothing compared to that.

I stepped into my bedroom and noticed a white envelope on the floor. I picked it up and realized that it was the envelope that Billy had given me before the wedding from Marissa.

Not having anything better to do I opened it and read the short note.

Hi Cash,

It’s been a long time. I don’t know if you remember me or not. We’ve hung out a few times when I’ve come down for spring break. I was hoping that I’d get the chance to speak to you while I was in town, but Billy told me that you were on vacation. I’ll be here until Tuesday. Please give me a call.

She signed her name and left her phone number beneath it.

I had to give it to her, this was the most formal booty call I’d ever received. Most of the time women just slid into my DMs. This was damn near a scroll with a royal seal sent via carrier pigeon.

Although I appreciated the presentation, I would not be giving Marissa a call. Cheyenne had not only ruined me for jerking off she’d also ruined me for all other women.

I crumpled up the paper and tossed it across the room in a perfect arch. It landed in the bin beside my desk.

Restlessness stirred inside of me as I grabbed a pair of sweats out of the top drawer of my dresser. It was only eleven o’clock at night. I thought about going down to the bar where I spent most of my nights, whether I was working or not.

There was a skeleton crew of part-timers there tonight because Billy, Skylar, Ray, and I had been at the wedding. Which meant that there was a good chance Billy would have gone by to check on things, too. As much as I was itching to get our talk over with, I didn’t think the bar was the right place for that to happen. Just like Jimmy’s wedding and reception hadn’t been.

Tomorrow, I’d go to Billy’s house first thing in the morning. Or maybe I should talk to Cheyenne first. If she didn’t want things to go further with us, it was probably best that I know that before I confessed my undying love for her to her brother.

Yeah, I should talk to Cheyenne and see what she wanted.

I checked the time again. It was a quarter past eleven.

She might be asleep, but she might not be. I’d taken the long route from the reception so I could go by her house to make sure that she was home safe and sound. I’d seen that her lights were on then, but that was half an hour ago. I could text her, but that might wake her up. This called for another drive-by.

I grabbed a T-shirt from my closet, slid my feet into a pair of Jordans and grabbed my keys and wallet off the dresser. I took the stairs two at a time like I was a kid on Christmas morning.

My momentum was still carrying me as I opened the door and plowed right into the person I was going to see.

“Umph.”

I wasn’t sure which one of us made that sound or if we both had. All I knew was that Cheyenne was plastered against me.

“Are you okay?” I asked, worried that I’d hurt her.

“Yeah, sorry.” Her hand flattened on my chest and she looked up at me. “I was going to knock and then you…”

“Came flying out the door like a bat out of hell.”

She dropped her hands to her side and grinned. “Yeah. Where are you going?”
