"Coffee will make things better," Colin said, reading her mind. "This is strong, though - is that okay?"

"God, please," June pleaded. He grinned as he slid a mug over to her."Do you have cream?"

"There's some from the kitchen in a basket over there," he gestured behind him. "I just drink it black, so I'm not sure what flavors there are."

"Why do you have it if you don't drink it?" June wondered as she opened one blue plastic container and dumped it in. With a jolt, she realized it was for when women spent the night, obviously. She knew that Colin had said that he didn't usually do this, but the man had to date, right? She looked at him: gorgeous, rugged without being intimidating, kind, good with kids, thoughtful, able to give a woman an orgasm - of course he was dating. Of course she wasn't the first woman to be pleasured on the MurderCouch. Of course.

"Phoebe drinks like, seventeen creamers in her coffee," he replied, and June's fears were slightly assuaged. For now. She walked back over, examining the mug more closely.

"What is it with camps and puns?" she asked, pointing first to the mug - this one read Camp Directors Do It In The Woods - then to Colin's shirt.

"First off, puns are awesome and Phoebe had that mug custom made for me when I got this job," Colin said, waggling a finger at June in playful shame. "Second off, they sell and when a kid wears a shirt from camp, it's like free advertising for us to other kids." June nodded her head, agreeing with his logic. "Plus, I get to make them up and it brings me ridiculous joy."

"Which one are you proudest of?"

"Live, Laugh, Lake, because it is the most nonsensical saying of all time" he responded immediately. "Though I also made one a few years ago in New Mexico that said 'Camp is Turtle-ly Awesome' but I put a desert tortoise on it to see if anyone noticed." Colin's shoulders shook as he giggled at his own joke.

What a nerd, June thought. "What a nerd," she then said out loud, shaking her head and chuckling. "Did anyone notice?"

"Hell no!" Colin said, continuing to laugh. "But it makes me laugh, and that's what matters." June took a generous swig of her coffee, smiling against the rim of her mug. Colin was so bizarrely confident in who he was, it might have been his most attractive feature. Though, as he turned around to rinse out the moka pot, June took the time to admire his ass in his PJ pants, and there was a serious case to be made for that being his best feature.

"Okay," June said, getting up from the table and stretching. "I should probably get back to the cabin before Kevin comes searching. I already know he's going to be asking me a million questions because I didn't come back last night."

"And what are you going to tell him?" Colin eyed June warily.

"What do you want me to tell him?" she responded.

"What does he know?"

"What do you want him to know?"

"June."

"Colin?"

"You are being a middle schooler."

"Middle schoolers don't make out on the MurderCouch," she countered, hands on her hips. She snorted a laugh, rolled her eyes, then said, "Okay, he knows we made out the first night - I'm sure you figured that out at breakfast yesterday - and he knew we were hanging out last night. I think he can connect the dots."

Colin licked his lips and June followed the motions of his tongue with her eyes. He chewed on his lower lip for a few seconds, contemplative, then asked, "Do you want to do something tonight?"

"Of course," June said. With a sly grin, she added, "And I want to sleep in your bed tonight. Should I pack a bag?"

"God yes," Colin breathed, smiling back at her.

"I'll see you around this morning." With that, June walked out the door, into the sunshine, intent on enjoying her day to the fullest.

"Spill, Lehrer," Kevin was waiting at the Adirondack chairs, a mug of coffee resting on his knee, when June showed up at the dining hall about 45 minutes later. She had quickly changed back in her cabin, charged her phone, looked for Kevin, then practically danced her way to the dining hall. She half expected to start singing along with the birds like an animated princess, she was in such a good mood.

"Well good morning to you too, you grump," June said lightly as she sat down in the chair facing him. He eyed her suspiciously.

"No coffee?"

"Already had a cup," June replied.

"Where?"
