“Because you fuckers didn’t bother to help,” Seth massages his temples and rolls his neck. He groans before making eye contact with me again. “Why the fuck do you want a meeting?”

I point at the three boys, my fingering quivering slightly, but I am not backing down from this.“This place is a mess.”

Lucas chuckles and turns back around in his spot on the couch.

“So?” Hunter says, crossing his arms.

“So?” I motion towards the shoes and the kitchen. “We can’t live like this. It’s absolutely disgusting.”

“And what do you want us to do about it?” Seth asks, standing up and walking towards me like a wolf stalking a deer. “You want us to clean?” He asks in a mockingly sweet tone.

“Ha!” Shouts Lucas. “Fat chance.”

“Why don’t we clean it together?” Even though I wasn’t the one to make the mess, I can help. I would do anything to not live in this pigsty. Anything. “I can do the bathroom, someone can take the kitchen, and another can do the floors. It could be a bonding moment.” I grimace as the words come out.Bonding moment. Ha! Like we could ever bond over anything.

“Bonding moment,” Lucas laughs. “Did you hear that, Seth?”

Seth rolls his eyes.“Yeah, yeah, I heard.”

“I don’t have time for this,” says Hunter. “I’ve got things to do.”

“Yeah, coming from the one who makes the most mess,” says Seth.

Hunter shrugs.“I’m a busy man.”

“I’m sure if we all help out, it can be done in a couple hours.”

Hunter groans.“Seth, make it stop speaking.”

“Well, do you have a better idea?” I rest my hands on my hips. “I mean, I didn’t even make the mess and I’m willing to help out.”

That earns me a scowl from both Seth and Hunter.“How kind of you,” Hunter nearly growls.

A terrible smile curls Seth’s lips and that small voice in my head returns.Go back to your room and forget you said anything. He stalks towards me, towering over me, but I am not going to be scared. I hold my ground, frowning up at him and waiting for whatever stupid nonsense he’s about to utter.

“I have an idea,” he says, and with his tone of voice I feel another tug towards my door. “The one who does the least push-ups cleans the apartment.”

“I can definitely get down with that,” says Hunter.

“Sounds good,” says Lucas.

I shake my head.“That’s ridiculous.” Not to mention I’m not even sure I can do one push-up let alone the hundreds I would need to stay in the game with these idiots.

“Shall we have a vote?” Seth turns on his heal and waltzes back to the couch. “All for push-up challenge raise your hand.”

All three bastards raise their stupid hands.

“All for not?”

I don’t raise my hand, scowling at the three in front of me.

Seth pouts mockingly.“That’s three against one, roomie.”

“You have to be freaking kidding me.” I stomp my foot, knowing I look childish yet not giving two shits. “I’m not doing this.”

“But you have to,” says Seth. “We had a vote and everything. You did call a roommate meeting, right?”

I pinch my nose and look skyward.“But it’s not fair! I can’t even do one push-up.”
