Coming closer to the edges of the tub, he perched on the side to hover over her. He’d lost his jacket and wore his black sleeves shoved up his tan arms, revealing a set of well-sculpted biceps. Arms built to hold a sword. He smiled at her again. “Do you want me? Is this flush my doing?”

Her mouth opened to speak, but she lost the words as his fingers brushed along her neck, and down over her collarbone.

His hand moved away, and she exhaled. “Yes.”

“Tell me to stop and I will,” he said, leaning in as he slid one hand down her right arm. He found her hand in the water, and brought it to her belly, slowly guiding her fingers down over her skin, and deep between her legs.

Mina couldn’t bring herself to look away from him, even as her body sank back against the side of the tub. The vampire’s touch made her skin buzz in a way she’d never felt before, and as their fingers threaded together and he pressed against her clit she trembled.

He positioned her hand, guiding her touch, coaxing that molten coil inside her tighter and tighter. His forehead touched hers and as she began to writhe under her touch, he whispered. “May I kiss you?”

Mina didn’t answer, instead she pulled her hand free from between her legs and captured his face between her palms. Their mouths crashed together, and he groaned, sliding his fingers down her sex. He moved to part her folds and then pulled back with a hiss.

“Someone is coming,” he said, glancing back over his shoulder. “We will have to continue this another time.”

“Who are you?” She gasped, desperately missing the feeling of his fingers between her legs. She’d been so close to…she wasn’t sure what.

The vampire turned to look at her again and bit his lower lip leaning in close once more. “You will learn that soon enough of my starlight.”

Mina opened her mouth to protest but in a burst of black smoke and wind he pulled away from her. She threw up her hands to shield her face and when she dropped them again, Maggie crouched at the side of the tub. “Princess, are you okay?”

“M-Maggie?” Mina blinked at her in confusion. “I... Where did he go? What just happened?”

“I don’t know what you mean,” she said, tucking her hair behind one ear. “You fell asleep while I was brushing your hair, and then jerked upright as if something had scared the life out of you.”

Mina shook her head in confusion. Had it been a dream? Was he really there? Sinking back into the tub, she couldn’t decide which reality she preferred. Had she betrayed her family by simply lusting after a vampire in her dreams, or had she nearly willingly given herself to one? Either way, she’d just betrayed everything she’d been raised to believe in.

“Mina, are you alright?” Maggie asked again.

The princess sighed. “I honestly don’t know.”
