“Amazing?”

“That’s the word,” she said with a funny little snap, raising her head to smile before dropping it back to the ground.

“I feel…funny.”

“Probably because I just blew your mind, baby,” I growled into her ear, causing her to squirm.

“Mmmm, I blew you too,” she joked.

“You sure did.”

It was incredible how I felt. I could have lain there forever and been perfectly happy. This girl who I’

d just met had me completely smitten. If I’d met her back in college, there was no way I would have been able to concentrate on anything but her, and even now I couldn’t help but feel like if I was to somehow be forced to quit the league and retire, I could be happy in a little house with Kylie, just being with her every day.

“I hope you know, Kylie…this isn’t just a fling or something,” I told her. “I meant what I said before about there not being any other girls.”

Kylie didn’t respond immediately. After a moment, she turned her head and looked back at me. I saw a hopeful trust in her eyes, like she was deciding whether or not to believe me—to give herself over to me.

“I…I believe you,” she finally said.

“I don’t know how to explain it,” I told her. “But when I’m with you…nothing else seems to matter.”

“When I’m with you,” she replied. “I—I don’t feel like myself.”

“That’s a good thing?”

“Well—yes!” she giggled. “When I’m me, I’m this Type A, workaholic businesswoman who’s always the leader and always in charge and always has responsibility. But with you, I feel like I can actually be a little submissive and let you be in control. I can’t tell you what a weight off my shoulders that is, and I didn’t even realize I needed it until I met you.”

I grinned. “Yeah, I saw that in you from the moment we met.”

“You did not!” she pouted with a smile.

“Sure I did,” I replied, grinding my still semi-hard cock deep inside her, causing her eyes to roll back in her head. “And when you’re with me, baby, I don’t mind running the show. In fact, I insist on it.”

Chapter Eleven

Kylie

When we touched down in Dallas, I felt like I’d wandered into a fairy tale.

Trent really did make me feel like a princess, and it wasn’t just because it had become his favorite pet name for me. He treated me like I was the only woman on Earth and I knew he was my knight in shining armor that would do anything for me.

We spent the rest of the flight lounging naked in his private room, fawning all over each other, drinking a couple of glasses of champagne and eating gourmet hors d'oeuvres that the flight attendants brought in.

We covered up for that, of course.

I was crushing hard on Trent, and if I was being honest with myself, it may have been a bit more than a crush.

He’d come out of nowhere, barging into my life, and at first I’d wanted nothing to do with him. I thought he was just another jerk, but how wrong I’d been.

Trent was the complete opposite of what I’d expect from a man of his status. He was kind, compassionate, and although he was fiercely dominant and possessive of me, wanted nothing but the best for me.

“Ready for the heat?” he asked as the plane came to a stop. “Little warmer than Massachusetts.”

The door opened and warm air swept into the cabin.

“Mmm, not as hot as you,” I joked as he wrapped his arm around me and lead me down the airstairs.
