Inhaling with a gasp, she blinked at me for one moment. Then she spun and made a dash for the elevator.
I watched her, smoking my cigarette. “Did you forget you can’t leave without me?”
After stubbing out the butt, I advanced on Roya.
“I want to get out of here.” She tossed that beautiful mane of hair back and stomped one foot. “You can’t just keep me prisoner like this!”
Leaning into her, I brushed my stubbled cheek against her silky one. “You owe me. I saved your life.”
Snatching her head back, she shouted, “You’ll ruin my life! Once my father finds out what I was doing at your club, I’ll never be free again.”
“At least you’ll live,” I said with a dark smile.
