She held his gaze. “I know. He just called me.”

“Then maybe when he gets here we can discuss some options in security for you. This place is a fucking joke,” Cash told her as he glanced around the room, then back at her. Now he was staring at the fluffy robe and her wet hair.

She probably looked a mess. She reached up and pulled her hair to one side, using her fingers as a comb to control the unruly locks.

“This condominium complex has great security.”

“Really?” Cash asked. He turned around, walked toward the door, and picked up the manila envelope on the floor.

He undid the clip and pulled out what appeared to be large pictures.

His eyes widened and then he looked at her again. Zane walked closer. He whistled.

“Think there are prints on it?”

“No fucking way.” Cash replied.

“What are those?” she asked, taking a step forward, but Zane placed his arm up to block her. She shoved his arm aside.

“Obviously, those were meant for me to see. Now hand them over.”

“I think we should wait for your father to get here,” Cash told her.

“Hand over the fucking envelope,” she stated firmly. Both men widened their eyes then took on completely different facial expressions. It was like her use of the word “fuck” stirred something inside of them.

She stepped forward and pulled them from Cash’s hand.

She turned around and paused as her eyes landed on the first eight-by-ten photograph. She had just gotten out of the pool. She was wearing her white string bikini. She only wore that when she was tanning.

“You look good in white,” Zane whispered over her shoulder.

She swung around toward him.

“Where did you get these?”

Zane crossed his arms in front of his massive chest of muscles. “They were on the door when we arrived. Looks like someone has been watching you.”

“How do I know that these aren’t from you two?”

Cash and Zane didn’t even seem to react to her accusation, but then Zane spoke. “Baby, if we took pictures of you, we’d get really close, and you would be completely naked. Those pictures are from about fifty yards away, and taken with a high-powered lens.”

She was shocked at his arrogance, yet her gut told her that he was probably telling the truth. They were into security and stuff.

There was a knock at the door, and Cash opened it.

“Chiara. Thank God that you’re okay.” Her father pulled her into his arms and hugged her.

“I’m fine,” she began to say when he pulled the pictures she was holding from her hands.

“Where did you get these?”

“They were left for her,” Cash told him.

Costiano ran his fingers through his hair.

“Pack your things. You’re coming back to the estate with me.”

“The hell I am. You need to explain what in the world is going on, and why you called these two men,” she stated, flipping her hand up toward Zane and Cash.
