We come to a stop at the estate garage, and Ezra kicks off the engine. I don’t want to move yet, so I hold him tight and bury my face in his back. He pauses after taking off his helmet. “What is wrong, lisichka? Are you frozen?”
I’m actually very warm, thanks to Ezra’s insane body heat.
“No.” I pry myself loose. “Thank you for bringing me home.”
He helps me off the bike and takes off my helmet. Cupping my face in his hands, he leans in and presses a kiss to my forehead. “How was visit?”
“It was good. Celia’s wonderful, like always.”
He studies my face. “Mikhail is worrying. He will ask about visit.”
“I know, he’s annoyed that she won’t talk to him.” I haven’t asked Celia what’s up, but I know Mikhail wants answers for her sudden silence. I won’t have them. “I’m trying to stay out of it.”
Ezra half-shrugs. “I do not have sibling to understand situation. But I have feeling it is about chapel incident. She will get over it, in time.”
“And if she doesn’t?”
“Then we will have broken twin on hands, hm?”
My stomach clenches. I sometimes forget that Mikhail and Celia are twins. “Does that run in the family? Twins?”
Could I be pregnant with twins right now?
Ezra grunts, a noncommittal answer. “I do not know.” His eyes narrow as I avoid his gaze. I fear he’ll see right through me, straight to the pregnancy tests shoved inside my bra. “Why do you ask?”
“N-no reason.” I pull away from him and make a speedy retreat for the door. “Where are the others?”
“Valentina.” Ezra crosses his arms over his broad chest. “Why are you asking about twins?” His tone sharpens as I ignore his question. “Valentina.”
I don’t know what to say without blurting out I’m pregnant! If I open my mouth, the words will come tumbling out, and I can’t. I can’t tell one of them without telling the others.
He catches up to me lightning-fast, grabbing my wrist and forcing me to stop fleeing. “I asked question. I would like answer.” After a moment, he sighs. “Please.”
My heart pounds fast and hard, like how Ezra pounded me this morning when he came inside me. Or like Mikhail, just yesterday on the dining room table. Or Andrei, the evening before, bent over his desk like a cheap whore as he lifted up my thigh and railed me. They’ve been ravenous, filling me up every chance they get. Not that I’m complaining—I have more dick than I have sense, right now.
I’m two weeks late for my period, too. If they haven’t noticed that by now, someone’s bound to sniff it out sooner or later.
I bite my bottom lip. Do I tell him? Or do I try to hold out another five minutes until we’re all together?
His nostrils flare, and he backs me against the wall. “Do you have secret for us, moya zhena?” My knees buckle at the phrase. He knows I love being called their wife.
I keep my mouth shut, but his eyes light up like he’s just been given the most precious gift in the world. My secret. Our secret. Our truth. He pins me to the wall, lifting my arms over my head and sighing against my lips. “You smell like honey, sweet to taste. I want to make love to sweet wife.” He cups my jaw, tilting my head back and tasting my lips. I whimper and claw at his shoulders.
God, just being around him turns me on.
He nips the shell of my ear, breathing hard. “But she must tell secret first.” His hands find my breasts and squeeze.
Then he stops moving.
Shit. The tests. He feels the tests.
He pulls back and stares at my boobs. “What are you hiding, Valentina?” A frown etches across his face. “If it is drugs, I will help you get clean.”
“No! No, it’s not that!” I cover my boobs with my hands. I know he can’t see anything through my shirt, but it makes me feel like I can hold the truth in a little longer. “I need to talk to you guys. Now. Please. Can we go inside?”
Ezra presses his lips together in a thin line. “Okay. We go inside, then you tell secret.”
He follows me inside the house, staying silent as we make our way to the master bedroom. Since the four of us started sleeping together, Andrei added a second king-sized mattress to the room, pressed up against the first. We use my room down the hall for storing clothes and our favorite sets of guns and knives.
