I rolled my eyes at him and he sent me a grin so wide I thought he’d split his face in half.

“Fuck off,” Seth said.

“Must be the trickster ghost.”

I lifted my foot to stomp again. Ryan moved his at the speed of light and winked at me when I connected with the table leg.

“Must be all the fists you’ve taken to your nose messing with your brain,” Seth retorted, the wet stain spreading on his dark shirt.

“I’ll get you a napkin.” I stood up, but before I could move a napkin slapped Seth directly in the face.

“What the—?” he yelled, prying the cloth away from his nose and staring at me in annoyance. “Why the fuck did you do that?”

“I…” I went to reply, but Ryan’s fingers circled my wrist and tugged until I was sitting down again.

“He tossed it to you nicely,” Ryan said. “Not his fault you have fingers made of limp dicks.”

“There’s only one limp dick here—” Seth started, but I shook my head because nope. They could trade insults about whatever they wanted but I didn’t like lies.

“It’s not Ryan’s,” I said before I could stop myself.

Seth glared at me, furious. “Babe—” he said but Ryan cut in.

“He’s not your babe. We talked about this.”

“I didn’t agree to anything.” Seth sneered.

“Talked about what?” I asked, but they both looked at me without responding. “I think I have a right to know!”

“It’s between us,” Seth said, puffing his chest out, and I scowled. I hated being talked to like I was a child.

“I told you I would talk to him about him touching you and being inappropriate,” Ryan said, looking at me. “He clearly didn’t get the message.”

“Whipped,” Seth scoffed the moment Ryan gave me what I wanted.

“You like whips?” Ryan asked. “It’s always the loudest ones who like to be good little doggies, isn’t it?”

“I don’t like whips!” Seth blustered, and I watched in horror as a shadowy shape crept up behind him with a belt hovering inside the shadow. It cracked the leather and gave the tiniest snap to Seth’s thigh before disappearing from sight.

Seth let out a soft moan at the sting, twisting and turning to see where it came from.

“Didn’t sound like you hated it,” Ryan said.

I elbowed him as hard as I could. He blew me a kiss and smiled at something I couldn’t see.

“What the fuck was that?” Seth asked, completely red in the face.

“Your fantasies coming to life?” Ryan grinned at him. “What else would you like to share with the class? Do you like kneeling for people? Begging for scratches? Telling them how bad of a doggie you are and how you need to be taught a lesson?”

“You’re fucking insane,” Seth snapped.

Ryan didn’t seem bothered. It was like he was communicating with someone just out of sight, gesturing…

Wait!

“No,” I whispered as I realised Harri and Larri were creeping from the shadows behind Seth’s back, chains held in both their hands to stop them from rattling against the floor.

“Just a bit of fun, love,” Ryan said, and I shook my head. “We’ll stop the moment you say so, we promise.”
