Squad Ghouls
Haunting #500: The Last Resort B&B
Number of ghosts: between 5 and 34, depending on whether the pirate ship crew counts as they are not, technically, inside the house?
Location: Pembrokeshire Coast, Wales
History: Unknown. Owner made a purchase of the estate and refuses to share information with anyone and has doctored online resources.
Wanted: Immediate ghost removal. Owner being kept against his will. Possible mind control at play as he claims ghosts are his friends.
The ExorSquad Team: Ryan Brolyn, three months and hasn’t died yet. Deserves a cookie.
Additional notes: Do not go on board the pirate ship. Rickrolling may cause tantrums. Microwaves are cute. Massages are not complimentary and might result in unwanted possession. The shorts on the owner are a style choice, not a seduction attempt. Act accordingly. Owner has no clue his ass has the ability to topple nations. Welsh spoons are not supposed to be used like that.
Owain
Listen.
Owain was aware of the fact that ghosts in general were considered of…well…a questionable friendliness level, okay? Despite what his exes said, he wasn’t a complete ditz. But his ghosts, the ones that were indefinite guests at The Last Resort B&B when he bought it, were lovely.
Were they a bit loud? Sure. Did they come with a host of unresolved issues that caused them to riot sometimes? Of course. Were some of them trapped in that house against their will after a horrible death that left them unable to speak, or move on, thus resulting in about a century of pent-up rage that bubbled up to the surface every once in a while and threatened to send the entire building crumbling into the stormy sea beneath it? Also yes. But Owain wasn’t exactly a peach when he was annoyed, he even pouted sometimes, so he had no leg to stand on.
Which is why when his family goes against his wishes and hires the ExorSquad to get rid of his friends, Owain will do whatever he has to to stop that from happening. Including, but not limited to, deploying the neon-colored shorts of doom.
Ryan
He should have listened to his mother.
Ryan would absolutely never admit that to her, but he absolutely should have listened to her when she told him he was a moron who had no room starting a business of his own. Broke, jobless, and out of moves, he joins the ExorSquad to pay off some of his debts. The job is crap, the pay is crap, the clients are crap. But nothing tops the nerdy twink in neon-colored shorts insisting on calling ghosts friends, obstructing Ryan’s attempts to help him, and driving him insane in the process because…legs. And the greatest booty he has ever seen in his life.
Okay focus.
No booty, perfect or not, was going to distract him from the fact that this Welsh hottie had a ghostly pirate ship parked outside and a dangerous entity scratching at the walls trying to find a way inside. Screw an ExorSquad, this needed an ExorArmy.
He should have listened to his mother. Eff his life.
The ExorSquad Series is a collection of standalone MM romcoms centred around the unfortunate employees of ExorSquad Ltd, the UK’s shadiest ghost-busting operation. Expect supernatural shenanigans, things that go bump in the night, sizzling encounters, and hard-won happy-ever-afters.
