Roman held up a hand. “Enough. Before you all die.”
They barely settled, still grinning like crazy fucking hyenas. Then Roman’s gaze sharpened, the amusement thinning into something more serious.
“You found her,” he said. “Good.”
My chest tightened. The bond pulsed at the thought of her.
Roman continued, measured and calm. “But if you’re still in London, with her, and Ceasar still isn’t in your hands… it’s time you come home.”
Volken smirked. “Bring your mate.”
Lucien added, “Bring her so we can see if she’s real, or if Viking hallucinated a woman and fell in love with the concept.”
I bared my teeth. “She’s real.”
Draugr murmured, almost fond. “He’s blushing again.”
“I AM NOT FUCKING BLUSHING.”
And this time…Roman actually smiled. Just barely, but all of us saw it. Roman held up a hand, cutting through the chaos. “Okay, we have tormented him enough.”
The room stilled. Roman looked between us. “You have been there a few weeks now and haven’t found him yet.” Not a question.
Draugr said, “Not yet.”
Roman exhaled slowly. “Then it’s time you came home.”
My jaw tightened. “We’re close.”
“You’re exposed,” Roman replied. “And now you’ve got a human mate in the middle of it. I’m not risking her. I’m not risking you.”
Volken leaned closer to the camera, grin sharp. “Also, I want to meet her. Because I need to see the woman who got Viking Dragic to lose his mind.”
“She didn’t get me to…” I started.
Draugr cut in, amused. “After an argument with her he marched around the house naked.”
Volken nearly choked laughing. “Classic.”
Lucien wiped at his mouth. “Tell her we like her. And tell her to blink twice if she needs rescuing.” I glared at the screen.
Roman’s gaze softened slightly. “Bring her home, Viking.” My blood heated at the thought. Home. Bryn in our territory. Under our protection and safe.
“Fine,” I said tightly. “But if he’s here…”
“We’ll find him from home,” Roman said. “You’ve done enough damage in London.”
Volken smirked. “Plus Viking’s distracted, he wants to get back to his woman.” My blood went instantly hot.
Draugr’s mouth curved. “He’s been staring at the clock like it insulted his mother.”
Lucien laughed. “Go on, then. Go be domestic. You have been whipped my boy.”
“Shut up,” I snapped.
Volken waved a hand. “Don’t worry, brother. You’ll be back to threatening people soon.”
Roman’s voice turned final. “Come home. Both of you.” The call ended. Silence settled in the study.
