Never had a glowing pup before, but she's ours. My Lycan coos.

My feet leave the floor. I scream. Diana laughs as we rise several inches off the floor. “No. No, no, no. Put us down right now!”

Who are you talking to?

"I DON'T KNOW!"

Diana squeals and kicks her little legs as we float higher. “This is not funny!” She giggles harder. Apparently she disagrees.

The bedroom door flies open. “Selena?”

Rylan freezes. I turn toward him while hovering several feet above the floor with our glowing newborn in my arms. “Rylan!”

His eyes go wide as they move from me to Diana. “Why are you floating?”

“Do I look like I fucking know?”

"Language honey."

"This is not the time for that!"

Diana squeals, and Rylan stares at her as she glows brighter. My Lycan hums with satisfaction. Look at our pup.

"THIS IS NOT THE TIME TO BRAG!"

Power surges through me. The windows fly open, and cold air rushes into the room.

“Selena.”

“I don't like the way you just said my name.”

My body turns toward the window. Rylan moves. “Selena!”

“I'M NOT DOING THIS!”

The power jerks me forward. “Rylan!”

He lunges. His fingers miss my ankle.

I fly through the window.

“SELENA! DIANA!”

“Oh my Goddess!”

Diana shrieks with laughter as cold night air rushes over us. “THIS IS NOT FUN!” She kicks her feet. Apparently she disagrees.

The house drops away beneath us. “RYLAN!”

A roar tears through the night behind me. Then bones crack. My mate's Lycan bursts from the house below, silver fur flashing beneath the moonlight as he races after us.

“Rylan!”
