Brennan’s feet kick above the floor.

“You were supposed to teach her the politics of ruling as Luna. Instead, you’ve been teaching her to put herself beneath you.”

I step closer. “Rylan. We need him alive.”

Luna Selena comes around her desk. “Put him down.”

Rylan’s grip tightens once.

Then he releases him.

Brennan collapses, coughing.

Rylan crouches in front of him. “Now you’re going to tell me who instructed you to teach my mate that bullshit.”

Brennan looks up, his face pale.

“No one, Alpha. I was merely explaining...”

“Don’t.”

The single word silences him.

Rylan stands. “How long have you been teaching her this?”

Brennan swallows.

“How long?”

“Since I began her lessons.”

“What else?”

“I don’t understand.”

“What else have you deliberately taught her incorrectly?”

Brennan looks toward Luna Selena.

Rylan steps into his line of sight. “Look at me.”

The Elder’s breathing grows uneven.

“Who instructed you?”

“I can’t.”

Rylan’s eyes narrow. “Can’t or won’t?”

Brennan shakes his head. “I can’t, Alpha.”

Rylan’s aura rolls through the office.

“Tell me who instructed you.”
