Let Me In, Please

“So you just watched me like a creep?” My hands had found their way to Kenji’s hard chest. I slyly made circles on his chest to distract myself from getting lost in his eyes.

“Yup,” he teased, burying his face in my neck, his warm breath adding to the fire burning between my legs. “I enjoyed every second of it too,” he said, placing a small kiss on my neck, then pulling back, looking over me.

“My soulmate is a creep. Imagine that.”

“Only when you’re involved.” Kenji smiled, grabbing a handful of my ass.

“Don’t start nothing you aren’t going to finish.” I gave Kenji a warning look. I still hadn’t forgotten about that stunt he pulled in the car. He definitely taught me a lesson I wouldn’t forget for a long time.

“I can finish anything I start. It ain’t nothing for me to show you,” Kenji replied, slipping his hands on my ass under the back of my dress, palming my bare ass cheeks, squeezing them.

I started to say something when Kenji’s front door flew open and a deep voice called out.

“What the fuck you and your brother got going on? I been looking all over for y’all ass since yesterday.”

Kenji’s face balled up in annoyance as he pulled my dress down, then turned around with an evil glare as he said, “Tahji, what the fuck do you want?”

“What I want? Kenji, you and Benji gotta be on Blood Rock, ’cause ain’t no way both you mutha fuckas think disappearing without telling anybody where y’all went is okay.” I poked my head around Kenji’s body to get a look at Tahji.

Tahji was handsome, just like Kenji and Benji. While he favored both of them, he had his own look that made him stand apart from each of them.

A big boyish grin spread across Tahji’s face when he saw me. “Who is she?”

“My soulmate,” Kenji replied, folding his arms across his chest, still staring at Tahji with hard eyes.

“Ooo, I see y’all went and found your soulmate without me? Ain’t that a bitch. I swear you mutha fuckas act like I’m not y’all brother too. I like doing shit too,” Tahji replied with a grin that said he was teasing Kenji.

“Wasn’t yo’ ass away with Koa visiting her family in the Third Region?”

Tahji smacked his lips, waving Kenji off. “I woulda canceled that boring-ass trip in a heartbeat. You know just like I do I didn’t want to be there. Her people too stuck up for me.”

“Yet, you finna marry that girl and do a Blood Mating Bond with her.” Kenji shook his head, dropping his arms, and he used his left hand to grab me around my waist, pulling me to his side.

Tahji shrugged his shoulders. “There’s money to be made. Fuck a soulmate. No offense, sis. I’m Tahji, by the way. The fine little brother.” He extended his hand for me to shake.

Kenji replied, “You say that until you run across your soulmate.”

As I took Tahji’s hand into mine, I smiled as I replied, “I’m Quinny. The confused human.” I joked along with him.

“Welcome to the family. Pops been looking for you too. He’s gonna wanna meet Quinny.” Tahji sighed.

“Let me get Quinny situated, and I’ll come meet up with y’all tomorrow. Go find Benji and bother his ass.” Kenji chuckled.

“I tried. I went by his house. That cra—”

“He not home. I know.” Kenji hurried up, cutting Tahji off.

I peered at him curiously, and he avoided eye contact with me. He was hiding something that had to do with Benji, and that meant it would affect Sutton. Kenji and Tahji shared a look of understanding, and I didn’t like that shit. “What was that?” I asked, standing in front of him.

“Nothing,” Kenji nervously said.

“You swear it’s me always in some shit. It looks like you and Benji got the juice now. I guess I’ll go try to find Benji’s sneaky ass. Nice meeting you, Quinny. Take it easy on my big brother.” Tahji then headed out the door just as fast as he came into the house.

“Is my sister in danger, Kenji? I swe—”

“Your sister is alright. Benji would lay his life down before he let anything happen to her. Are you hungry?” Kenji asked as he turned around, walking down the dimly lit hallway.

Fucking yes, I was hungry. I hadn’t eaten since the day before. I wanted to jump for joy when he mentioned food, but I played it off, keeping it cute.
