“Other beings? Like werewolves?”
He smirked, his long fang sticking out the corner of his mouth. My body shivered, recalling how good they felt piercing my skin. “We don’t fuck with those dogs. They aren’t to be trusted. When I say beings, I mean elves, fairies, warlocks, mages, mermaids, all that stuff you humans like to call fantasy.”
Kenji had blown my mind again, telling me all the mythical creatures I thought were made up were actually real beings that roamed the same earth as me.
“Are you serious?” I excitedly asked him.
“Yeah, I got a few fairies that work for me. They keep my house clean and all that other household shit that I don’t have to worry about,” Kenji casually said, and I felt myself becoming aggravated at his words.
The thought of another female, human or not, didn’t sit right with me. If I didn’t know any better, I would say it was jealousy that had me ready to cuss Kenji out.
“Why?” I asked with a sour expression on my face. Kenji looked at me. He had a teasing grin on his face that didn’t match my mood. It was like he could tell I was jealous, and he was enjoying it.
“’Cause somebody has to keep my house clean.”
“You can do it yourself,” I smartly replied.
He shrugged. “I can, but I don’t want to, which is why I pay fairies to do it for me.” Kenji snickered, and I wanted to smack the grin from his face.
“Probably fucking them too,” I mumbled under my breath, folding my arms across my chest.
“Have I fucked a few fairies? Yeah, but not the ones I work with. I don’t mix business with pleasure,” Kenji replied like that was supposed to make me feel better.
“You sound crazy as fuck,” I spat, not caring that my attitude was out in full force. Kenji had pissed me all the way off.
I didn’t give a flying fuck about who or what he fucked. The thought only pissed me off. I understood that Kenji had been with other females before me. I wasn’t a saint either, but that didn’t mean I wanted to hear about the shit. He could have kept that last bit of information to himself.
“What I tell you about that attitude, Quinny?” Kenji challenged me, cocking his brow as the car came to a halt outside a tall golden gate that had the letter T, made out of red diamonds, down the middle of the door of the gate. It was a simple design, but it still looked expensive.
“I don’t have an attitude. I don’t care to hear about who you used to fuck.” Mainly because he wasn’t or hadn’t fucked me yet. Knowing that I hadn’t experienced that part of Kenji while others had irked me to the depths of my soul.
Kenji just glared at me before he reached his arm out the window, typing in a code on a keypad that opened the gate. He drove through the opened gate that led to a series of mansions that looked like they belonged to the rich and powerful. Kenji drove to the very back of the houses, pulling into a driveway that led up to one of the biggest mansions I’d ever seen. It was a massive two-story mansion with maroon reddish-colored paint coating the house, dark gray roofing, tall rounded windows, as well as a rounded doorway arch that covered the glass front door. I could see a balcony with gold rails to my right while the double-door garage was to my left. This mansion could fit about ten of my houses inside of it. The grass was cut to perfection. Whoever lived here had to be rich as fuck.
“Come on,” Kenji said to me while putting the car in park.
He got out of the car, and I followed right behind him, walking up the red and black brick path that led from the driveway to the front door. Instead of using a key or knocking on the door, Kenji placed his hand on a scanner on the side of the door. When the scanner turned green, you heard a lock click. Then Kenji opened the door.
“This is your house?” I asked in awe as I stepped inside of Kenji’s house.
I was dumbfounded by how luxurious the inside of the house was. I’d been in a few nice houses in my life, but none of them compared to Kenji’s house. The inside of the house was just as big and beautiful as you’d expect it to be. Although Kenji had a lot of black giving the house a dark theme, I was surprised that Kenji had as many light fixtures in his house.
“Ours,” Kenji answered as I felt him coming up behind me and wrapping his arms around me, pulling our bodies together. My back resting against his chest, I relaxed into his embrace.
“I don’t recall ever living here,” I teased him.
“Nope, but I’ve been getting this house ready for us for a while,” Kenji replied calmly.
But I whipped around, looking at him like he’d lost his mind. Placing my hands on my hips and cocking my head to the side, I asked, “What you mean, a while?” The way Kenji said that made it seem like he’d been waiting in the cut, watching me like a creep. “You been watching me?” I squinted my eyes at him.
“I have,” he replied with a cocky smirk as he took two steps, putting himself back in my personal space. I gazed up at him curiously, waiting to see what he was going to say next. “I’ve known of your existence since you were born. I just didn’t know who you were exactly. Three months ago, I saw you for the first time. You were pumping gas. You had on jeans and a white fitted t-shirt that had the word Nerd, on it, black slippers and your locs in a high ponytail. When I saw you, you stood out to me like a shining star glowing in the dark sky.. Your soul was calling out to me and mine was calling for you. I knew you were my soulmate right then and there. You had me from the first time I saw yo’ fine ass.”
What was crazy was the fact that I knew exactly what day Kenji was talking about. I had just gotten off of work, and I was in one of my moods where I didn’t want to be bothered. I remembered feeling like someone was watching me at the gas station. I kept looking around, hoping to find who was staring at me, but I couldn’t, and I found myself restless the rest of the night. Something felt like it was missing, and I really thought I was losing my damn mind. I was irritated for a week, hoping to fill the emptiness I’d been feeling. Finding out Kenji was the cause of all that was ironic.
“Why didn’t you say anything to me that day? As persistent as you are, I’m surprised you didn’t try to take me that night,” I jokingly said.
“I wanted you that day. Real fucking bad. I wanted to peel those jeans off of you that night, but I wasn’t ready for you. Like I said, I knew you had been born. I wasn’t sure when we’d meet. I had a few loose ends that needed to be dealt with before I brought you home,” Kenji said, taking my chin into his fingers, pulling my face into his for a kiss that left me speechless.
I loved Kenji’s full lips. They were always soft, even though his kisses were firm and full of passion that had a way of making me weak in the knees. Kenji took my bottom lip into his, sucking on it gently before he pulled his face a few inches from mine, his lips hovering inches above mine. I snickered to hide the fact that Kenji had once again had me horny. It seemed like every little touch from him made my pussy react to him. Kenji could have poked me, and I probably would have a flood in between my legs.
